Afer having dinner in their room, Zhi Hei helped Shi Xue shower before putting her to sleep. She was exhausted to the point where her body barely had any strength left to hold onto Zhi Hei's neck when he carried her to bed. She tried her best to stay awake during her bath, but her eyes betrayed her. Zhi Hei chuckled as he tucked her in and kissed her forehead. "Good night" he whispered gently into her ears. Her body relaxed and a sweet smile appeared on her face after hearing his voice. He slowly and quietly exited their room to make a personal call in his study room.
Chen Mu yawned into the phone: "What is it? Is there something wrong with little bunny? I've been going abck and forth to your house lately for her. I'll be th..."
Before he could continue speaking, Zhi Hei's deep affectionate tone sent shivers down Chen Mu's spine, "Proceed with my plan."
Chen Mu rubbed his eyes awake and excitedly chanted: "Oh my!! Finally!! My young master has finally been tamed wooohoooo yeaaa I just knew my sweet bunny could do anything and meet my expectations!!! hahaha!"
"I'm still here."
Chen Mu coughed twice and replied, "Yes. When do you want me to take action?"
"Let me know when the preparations are finished. Then, I'll let you know the next step."
"Alrighty~~~ Forget sleep. It'll be another endless night~~~"
"If you don't sleep then might as well ask your family's SuSu to help out.."
"Helll no! Are you human!? My SuSu needs rest hmphh"
Zhi Hei smiled, "I've got a gift for you and your Su. Come over tomorrow afternoon and retrieve it."
"Oh? Did I hear wrong? D..don't tell me you're now courting me. Gasp.. Zhi Hei, we mustn't Kyaa you have little bunny!"
"You're not my type."
"Oh? hehe... good good. I only belong to SuSu anyways. I'll come pick up the gift tomorrow! Thanks in advance~ I better catch my beauty sleep before I see my su tomorrow. Night~~"

He opened his drawer and took out a thick report about genetic modification. 'This was indeed a pleasant surprise that could help Chen Mu greatly if it turns out the way I believe it would. I'll bring him to mother in law tomorrow so we could further discuss the situation.'
Zhi Hei carefully placed the report back into his drawer before going back to his room to cuddle with his sweet bunny. When he circled his arms around her, she subconsciously whispered, "n..n.. I love you.."
He chuckled and kissed her shoulder lightly, "I love you too."
The next morning, Shi Xue woke up to an emptied space next to her. She frowned slightly from Zhi Hei's absence. He didn't leave her any notes or text messages indicating where he had gone. After washing up and getting dressed, she went downstairs to eat breakfast. There, she questioned maids and butlers to see if they would know where Zhi Hei went. All of them shook their heads and apologetically excused themselves. After breakfast she dialed his number multiple times and was sent straight to his voicemail.
She rubbed her chin a few times before her eyes brightened up. 'Right! Hui Yan should be able to help me!' she quickly dialed hui Yan's number..
Hui Yan: "Hello?"
"Hui Yan~"
"hmm... o.. OHHH Sis in law!! Sorry I was sleeping just now..."
"Oh? Sorry to disturb your beauty sleep. Do you know where Zhi Hei is? I woke up and couldn't find him anywhere in the mansion. I can't reach his phone either. Does Shen Qi know anything about this/"
Hui Yan turned around and saw Shen Qi sleeping soundly, "He's asleep right now though and big brother said he would let him off a few days. Shen Qi hadn't received any calls or text since two days ago. "

Shi Xue started getting worried since he would never leave her alone like this. As her heart felt unease, her phone rang. It was an unknown number, but her instincts told her to pick it up.

"I forgot my phone today~ Anyways, I'm calling because Zhi Hei is currently in a very important meeting so he won't be back probably until later tonight. Remember to eat well and stick with your diet plan!!"

"Oh, it's nothing much, He's been in a meeting since this morning. I was told to let you know so that you won't flip out or overthink the situation."

She spent the rest of her afternoon sitting on her swing chair while waiting for Zhi Hei to come back home. She sent him a long message of punishments he would have to endure when he gets home for not informing her of his whereabouts and making her worry about him. After she finished her tea, she walked into her closet and picked out a few outfits to wear. She smiled playfully as she observed herself in front of the mirror. 'This one hehehe'

She practically jumped into his arms when his figure was seen by the door. Sensing the familiar warmth, his arms wrapped around the soft body that is already hugging him.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"Hmph, you got me worried!"
"You were sleeping. I didn't think the meeting would last that long." he stroked her smooth black hair.
"Hmphh!! you could've sent me at least a message. It was Chen MU who ended up calling me instead."

"No, no, there is no next time. I'll always leave you a message alright?"
"You'll still have to go through my punishments for making me worried!!"
