I stayed by her side and took care of her while she was in deep slumber. I vowed to myself.. until she recover I would care for her and protect her from everyone. Nobody can harm her.
Her forehead had a layer of sweat, maybe a bad dream making her twist and turn her head. I wet a cold towel and gently wiped her forehead then held her soft hands.
This silly girl, how can she be this innocent. How can she be so untainted that she would risk her life over mine? We met plentiful times, but not personal meetings. I was her nobody, yet she always treated me as a friend and smiled warmly at me. Her smile would always make everyones day better. Not only that.. how could she trust me this much that she is willing to get hurt. It was a damn shot.. GUNSHOT
In these situations, most people would run off or stay where they are to hide. How stupid can she be to dodge a bullet for me?...
Sigh... my heart would only feel safe and secured when she is around me. This girl.. really got me this time. I thought getting shot would hurt.. now I take it back. That moment I saw her covered in blood for me, was the worst fear I never had before. I felt more pain seeing her take that shot than getting hit myself.

She's finally awake!! I quickly got up from my seat and let go of her hands . "how are you feeling? Are you dizzy? pain anywhere? hungry??"
Her response was out of my league... she actually smiled at me and said "You're alright. That's so great!" her smile made my heart shook and race... I really want to kiss her right here, right now. But this would definitely scare her...
Shi Xue, You don't know how loving you look right now with that smile of yours... you looked so angelic... I wish to keep you with me forever, but you loved your boyfriend and I... you are the last person I ever want to hurt....
I'll keep these feelings I have for you a secret.. unless I see for myself that you shed another tear for a bastard, then even with force.. I'll keep you by my side. Zhi Hei brushed Shi Xue's fringe gently as he watched her with tenderness. A hint of regret and avenge flashed through his eyes. He looked deep with emotions to the girl whose sleeping in front of him.. I Will Definitely.. Make Those Who hurt You Pay..... as his other hand slowly clenched into a fist cracking a few knuckles.

Shen Qi came in with a pile of reports of the life of Shi Xue for the past years. In order to not disrupt her sleep, Zhi Hei put her hands under the blanket and walked outside. He sat on the couch in his own room as he detailedly read each and every bit of the report afraid he would've missed something. After 10 minutes, he finished reading the 59 pages of report.
*SLAM* the pile of report scattered all over the room. HOW DARE THESE BASTARDS. I DON'T EVEN DARE TOUCH A STRAND OF SHI XUE'S HAIR AND THEY DARE TO TORTURE HER OVER THESE YEARS AND TAKE HER BELONGINGS? BULLSHIT.
It's all my fault. I shouldn't have left you be years ago thinking maybe because you found your happiness so you cut off all contacts!
Just as Zhi Hei was about to give an order to Shen Qi, the maid knocked and hurried into the room and said "M...Miss Sh..i Xue.. She's..."
Before the maid could finish her sentence to say that Shi Xue is awake, Zhi Hei already rushed out and ran towards her room afraid that something might've gone wrong.
When he pushed open the door, he saw... the girl whom he was looking over for the past two nights... awake..
He sighed of relief and went over to her side smiling widely and warmly asked "Shi Xue! You're awake!! Are you feeling any pain? hunger? thirst?"
Shi Xue looked at him with unfamiliarity and asked..."Who are you? Where am I?"
Zhi Hei froze on the spot and quickly called Chen Mu over to give her a quick check up.....
