John lit his cigarette then firmly put his hand on Chris's shoulder. The athletic guy was startled by John's sudden movement that he dropped his cellphone on the floor.
" Daydreaming much ? "
Feeling as if he was caught red handed, Chris anxiously bowed to pick up his damaged phone. He took a deep breath when grabbing the phone, then talked calmly while checking it.
" I didn't get much sleep last night, that's why I'm a bit off today "
John was fully aware of what was going on, but instead of scolding Chris for being tempted by Anna's vulgar looks, he was rather shocked by his friend's pretended calmness that he run out of motivation.

Accompanied by her famous businessman father, Liz shortly joined the party in a white fancy dress. She headed to the washroom as soon as she arrived, leaving her old man with a bunch of his old filthy rich friends.
John was greeting the guests, eagerly meeting all the invited business counterparts. He had no idea that the man he wanted to greet the most was actually Liz's father.
" Hello Mr. Weldon. It's John Paterson, I'm glad to meet you "

John was known for being a harsh, cocky man. He never treated girls nicely, let alone complimenting them. Being somehow kissed and complimented by him was like a sweet dream for Liz who happened to be a major fan of fairy tales. Just a simple kiss on the hand made her feel butterflies in her stomach.
But Her happiness didn't last long, it was all ruined when she remembered that the prince charming was already claimed by the evil witch.
