The situation was clear now, so I went to take a bath. It was a rather small bathroom, but the bathtub itself took up quite some space. I was easily able to fit in it completely, using the smooth wooden surface of the tub as an arm-rest. After a few minutes of washing I lay back to relax, but a short while later I decide to go to sleep early this time.

On the way back to my room I look outside the window, spotting the crowd from earlier talking to the waitress. But what for? Should be indifferent to me, so I'll just go to sleep. I jumped on the bed and the fluffy and soft sensation greeted me. It wasn't for long after I layed down for me to fall asleep. Mornings sun greeted me like sleep greeted me, fast but still very welcome.

With the golden sun stil up in the sky, I take down the stairs to train once again. I limited the weights for todays run, so instead of wearing all of them, I skipped on the swordish weights. They looked to ridiculous for a city I was new in. Unexpectedly surprised faces welcomed me downstairs.

I am actually starting to wonder if this waitress has any pauses on her job, because she is actually here again. She wears the most surprised expression in the room, but she also was the only to say something.

W:" Wait, so you actually do this kind of run every day?"

Ce:" Well, yes. For several years now, with one pause a week, why?"

W:" God, better not let the towns girls hear that..."

I'll just ignore that, partly because I didn't understand, partly because I feared that I did.

Ce:" That doesn't answer my question, does it?"

W:" Ah no... It just seemed a bit too much effort for a magician..."

Ce:" I'm not technically a magician yet! I'm going then!"

With that I started to jog, steadily speeding up. I had no idea of this city, so I planned on using the market street as my track for now. It was a almost round street, circling around the academy, probably settled here because of the high amount of customers. Teachers, students and even other employees had to live somewhere near, had to eat and drink. Easy targets for a market.

After a rather refreshing run, I notice that my time was running low. I quickly poured water over me, changed my clothes then ran to the academy. Yes, in this order. Yes, my clothes got wet.

The small distance to the academy was crossed in a minute, leaving me with three minutes of time to enter my classroom. Nowhere near enough time to take the stair indoors. I found the window to the room, then used a nearby tree to climb up. Unluckily, there was a beehive in the tree.

I hurried, trying not to get a sting - and succeeded. The bees didn't seem to worry about me at all.

An open window was waiting for me in five meters height, so I simply climbed in and rushed to my seat. The faces of the other students were hilarious, on two different ways. Four of them looked surprised and... relieved in some way. The other six were filled with anger. I looked around to find the origin for it, just to see a small trap at the door. A bucket of water on the door, how creative.

Ce:" You should really get more creative with that, or you will never succeed!"

Looking back at it, this petty reaction was one of the worst choices I could've made. The angry ones seem to be even more agitated by it, leaving only a small bit of their mind active. With the teacher gone and my powers inactive, they saw me as an easy target and threw several low level spells at me.

I was not really hurt, but that is probably only because my body trained. It still seemed to bother the others, to the point some tried to step in. Either courageous or foolish, they stepped in trying to defend me with defensive spells.

Probably unlucky enough was: Their level was way below that of the attackers. Fireballs of level five were easily able to pass level five waterwalls, but level nince fireballs were able to melt low grade metals. And the water wall was vaporated without eben touching it.

Damn, this isn't good.

Two of the students on my side got hit, leaving big, burned spots on their skin. To protect them, I pick a chair up. I hold it in front of me like a shield - while carrying the two students to safety. Dragging uninvolved people into this was inacceptable, but there is no way I would be able to step in.

The barrage stopped after the offensive students saw the injuries on the defensive ones. Suddenly, they felt really sorry, begging me to let them help. Fine, there is no need to let them suffer for our conflict, right?

Unlikely as it was, the other student still held a grudge towards me.

"This is only a truce, I will not accept you as a part of this class!"

There we have it. This wasn't over yet.
