“Boom!” Fang Yu suddenly sensed danger quickly approaching her. She jumped back, managing to dodge the attack barely.
“Fizz….” Fang Yu felt her skin prickling, as she realized what the attack was.
It was a thin golden beam, something that shot out of Beleth’s right index finger.
“Oh, that was just a probing attack, nothing special about that.” Beleth said gleefully as waved his hands around. “My next attacks won’t be that merciful though.”
“S**t!” From the way that Beleth attacked earlier, Fang Yu was able to slightly deduce what ability Beleth got from his Golden Martial Aura.
From the looks of it, the Golden Martial Aura provided Beleth an access to a type of powerful Golden Energy.
As for how this Golden Energy worked, Fang Yu was not yet sure.
But she was sure that it was in some way, able to raise Beleth’s fighting prowess dramatically.
“So I have to make myself the guinea pig again…..”
If Fang Yu wanted to know how this Golden Energy works, then she had to see more and more of Beleth’s use of it.
But that means Fang Yu had to allow Beleth to continue attacking her.
“I will just do my best to survive then….” Fang Yu increased her focus to the limits as she decided on what to do.
Fang Yu will observe each of Beleth’s attack with the Golden Energy, and she must do her best to survive until she gathers enough information!
As for how long her observation will last, Fang Yu wished that it will be as short as possible.

These 10 golden beams weaved and wandered through the Mist Room as if they had life of their own. Some travelled curved paths while some even zigzagged!
Because of these movements, the golden beams approached Fang Yu from different angles all at the same time! Each of the golden beams glowed sinisterly as they bore upon the trapped Fang Yu!
“What the! These golden beams can move like this? Are they really just golden beams? F**k, Beleth really wants to skewer me right now!”

Instead of just using the Ghost Form on her whole body, Fang Yu localized its effects.
This means that she only used the Ghost Form on selected parts of her body.
By doing this, Fang Yu can reduce the burden of using the Ghost Form, meaning she can still use it later.
Of course at that point, Fang Yu still had to localize her ability.

All the 10 golden beams pierced Fang Yu, with 3 on her head, 2 on her legs, and 5 on her torso.
But Beleth did not feel any feedback as all the beams passed through Fang Yu as if she was just a mirage.

It took her intense concentration, but she managed to pinpoint where the 10 golden beams will hit her, and before they pierced her body, she turned these spots ethereal with her ghost form.
“You, your fighting skills evolved once more.” Beleth, with his sharp eyes, managed to see that Fang Yu just pulled of a risky move.
“It’s all thanks to you, Golden Beleth.” Fang Yu replied as she hobbled on one foot. Because of the difficulty of what she did earlier, Fang Yu messed up with one spot in her left foot, which allowed a golden beam to pierce it.
That spot on her left foot offered no resistance as the golden beam pierced right through it. It was just like a knife passing through butter, but the knife this time was a golden projectile weapon.
“But you still failed to guard one strike.” Beleth sneered, seeing the hole on Fang Yu’s left foot. “Seems like I just have to use more of these beams then.”
“Tsk.” With her foot pierced by that golden beam, Fang Yu realized that this beam had a powerful piercing property, something that allowed it to easily penetrate Fang Yu.
“Piercing?” Fang Yu mouthed out as she stared at Beleth’s silhouette.
Now that she could see it, she could feel that Beleth’s whole body seemed to be extremely sharp and unstoppable right now.

Fang Yu knew that Beleth was not satisfied with his. If Beleth wants to be a better fighter, then he must find a way to balance his fighting abilities.

If the normal Beleth was close-ranged, then his Golden Martial Aura must give him long-range abilities.

She managed to dodge them, but someone already knew her actions.
“Behind you.” Fang Yu paused as she looked behind her.
There, she saw Beleth looking at her with derision.
“Guh!” Fang Yu felt pain in her stomach as she saw Beleth’s left arm stabbed on it.
Beleth’s left arm was covered with the Golden Energy, turning it to a blade that easily penetrated Fang Yu’s body.
“So you anticipated my move…” Fang Yu said as blood dripped out of her mouth. “You must have guessed my plans to teleport…..”
“You are right.” Beleth said as he twisted his arm blade inside Fang Yu.
“Argh!”
“I just have to create a scenario where you will have no choice but to dodge.” Beleth said as he plunged his arm deeper. “Since you can slow down time, I have to make sure that even if you slow down my golden energy attacks, you will have no space left to move. Once that happens, you will have no choice but to teleport.”
“And I will attack you the instant that you teleported.” Beleth concluded his speech with finality in his voice..
“Aside from piercing and long-range attacks, my Golden Martial Aura also improved my speed as my body could now pierce through space itself, allowing my movements to be quicker. It’s your bad luck to encounter someone like me.”
