Arthur kept on moving, feeling thankful that the enemy was the type that he had already defeated. This meant that he would be able to take it down swiftly.

However, Arthur reminded himself not to get contented from the life of ease. Majority of the adventurers lost their lives not from some powerful bosses but from the smallest mistakes. Carelessness could be a fatal mistake in the life of adventuring.

Just as Arthur reminded himself that, he heard a weird sound coming from behind him. It sounded like snake rustling against the ground but the speed was far too fast for a common snake.

Arthur turned his head around and saw a line of fabric slithering on the ground as it rushed towards him. It registered in his mind instantly that this was the mummy wrap from the earlier zombie. In other words, this thing had to be hostile!

Arthur reacted fast and shouted to create a barricade before him. The cloth rammed into the wall of sound and bounced backwards.

The young man watched as the fabric curled around itself like the coiling of a snake.

Arthur was not going to give his enemy the chance to strike. He ended the barricade and launched another shot of vocal materialization. He manipulated the voice into the shape of a knife.

The vocal blade flew right at the mummy wrap. The force picked it up the ground and carried it forward. It pinned the wrap to the ground.

Unlike Arthur's previous adversaries, the mummy wrap did not fight back in any way. It merely hung there quietly like an actual inanimate object. Arthur even suspected all he had seen earlier was merely an imagination.

Arthur ended his shout but he watched the cloth carefully, cautious that it might launch a sudden counter attack. The cloth merely fell weakly to the ground.

Arthur frowned. This was not the intense battle that he expected. 'Could the thing be dead already? No, that doesn't seem like it…'

Just as Arthur hesitated between staying to observe the mummy wrap and directly moving forward, the fabric moved as it came back alive.

This time, the mummy wrap amped up its aggression. Compared to the earlier rotting zombie, the mummy wrap was cleverer because it knew how to change up its attack style.

The mummy wrap attacked from both ends of its body. From Arthur's perspective, it looked like two serpents were attempting to attack him. They weaved in and out of each other, trying to confuse Arthur.

It would not have worked because Arthur was going for a large scale attack. He was handling both at the same time.

He charged up his voice and shouted into existence a large wall of force. It was large enough to cover up the entire length of the corridor so no matter how slippery the enemy was, there was no way either of its ends was going to slip through.

The ends of the wrap bounced against the wall of force. Arthur increased the intensity of his voice and the wall started to move backwards, pushing the enemy with it.

At the very last stretch, the wall suddenly picked up speed. The entire roll of mummy wrap alongside the debris that littered the corridor was slammed against the wall.

As the wall wore off, Arthur bent over to sigh. He had a concerned frown on his face. From that previous attack, he realized how troublesome this enemy would be. His attacks had left little to no damage on the mummy wrap. This was because his enemy was made from cloth and unfortunately, the nature of his attacks was mostly physical that depended on the strength of the force.

Force was something that could be easily neutralized by cloth. Fabric softened the blow. Imagine punching bolts of fabric with your fists, that was basically how Arthur felt. He had exhausted plenty of energy but it was not proportional to the damage suffered by his enemy.

Arthur saw the mummy wrap slide around the end of the corridor. It looked like it was looking for something.

Arthur readied himself, preparing for whatever new tricks the mummy wrap might decide to throw at him.

The bolt of fabric curled itself around the rocks and pebbles that littered around it. It looked like a boa constrictor pulling in its enemy. Arthur's forehead filled with cold sweat, seeing this. If he was ever captured by the mummy wrap, he believed this would be his fate. Smothered and bound inside the wrap until he died off and his dead carcass fell under the control of the sentient piece of fabric.

He could think of hundred more better and more dignified ways to go than this.

The rocks gathered under the mummy wrap's influence. From a far, Arthur saw that it was starting to take shape. The stones rolled into place to form a humanoid shape. The materials became the joints and muscles for the mummy wrap to control.

The mummy made from rocks stood up from the ground. It moved towards Arthur and the ground trembled with his every movement.

'This is going to be even harder to beat than the rotting zombie that it possessed. Rocks are much sturdier and harder than a rotting zombie.' Arthur thought with agitation. Regardless, there was fire burning in the young man's eyes, he was not going to give up that easily.

If he died to a literal band of cloth, he would never live up to his father's glorious legacy.

Arthur stood his ground as the stone mummy stepped towards him. As the distance between them drew close, Arthur gathered the power in his voice.

He shouted and a large hammer-like shape appeared in the air. Since his enemy had taken on the body of a rock, then he was going to smash it into literal smithereens. He was inspired by the blacksmiths that he saw around town.

The hammer came down hard and the mummy started to crack.
