Ethan and Aisha rushed to the hospital when they received a call from hunter about what happened in the shop.
"Hunter! What happened?" Aisha asked hysterically. Hunter was sitting outside the emergency room waiting for the nurses to tend Sophie's wound.
"How's Sophie?" she worriedly asked.
"She's fine. The doctor is treating her wounded hand. Don't worry, it's just a scrape." Hunter answered.
Earlier at the shop, Sophie snatch one of the gun that was pointed at her. she made sure not to leave room for them to counterattack. Hunter acted swiftly as they both beat the guys one by one. Sophie was stabbed by one of the men whom they thought was dead but it's not deep. It'll definitely heal in due time.
"Do you know who sent them?" Ethan probed.
"No. they wouldn't speak. But they were looking for Aisha." Hunter looked at the woman. "you are their main target." Hunter relayed.
"Hunter! Where is my sister?" Caleb who just came in with Lisa interrupted. He held Hunter's shoulders.
"She's inside the emergency room. don't worry, she's fine." Hunter assured her.
"This is not good. They manage to track down everyone." Aisha clench her teeth. "Everyone's not safe anymore." Aisha's eyes showed a bit of contempt. Ethan comforted her.
"It's not your fault nor anybody's burden." Everybody spun around to see Sophie pacing towards them.
"Sophie!" Aisha ambled to embrace her. "I'm sorry. I'm truly sorry!"
"It's okay, besides it's just a scratch." She beamed.
"Sophie, what exactly happened? And why are you at Hunter's shop early in the morning?" Caleb was intrigue.
Aisha unexpectedly coughed. At the sight of Sophie's outfit, she was sure that she slept at Hunter's house last night. She grinned teasingly at her friend but Sophie glared at her as a response. Her nose turned red all of a sudden but she tried to mask it with her confidence.
"They came out of nowhere. But it was Aisha whom they are looking for." Sophie explained.
"Could they possibly be bounty hunters?" Caleb interrupted.
"It's impossible. If they are bounty hunters, then probably we'll be dead by now." Hunter countered.
"I think I know who sent them." Everyone gawked at Sophie who was in deep thought.
"Tell us who?"
"There accents, I heard it before." Sophie peered at Aisha keenly, "They resembles the accent of the people we met before—in Japan."
"The Hayato's!" Aisha bellowed.
"I think but I'm not sure. Do you have other enemies from Japan aside from Rogue's family?"
"I don't think so but they are capable of doing such things as these." Aisha balled her fists.
"The Hayato's? Who are they?" Ethan couldn't keep up with their conversation.
"Rogue Hayato is Aisha's fiancée." Caleb freely answered Ethan's query.
"Fiancée?" Ethan creased a brow. Then he looked at Aisha who spanked Caleb.
"Hey! Since when did he became my fiancée, huh?!" She's shooting daggers at him.
"Ouch! You should know that your hand is substantially heavy!" Caleb yelled while everyone chortled.
"Good for you! how could you joke like that in front of Ethan?" Lisa uttered.
"But that's true! Whether you like it or not, he was once your fiancée...! ghost fiancée!" he scowled back at Aisha.
"I never considered him as my fiancée! It was them who insisted!" she frowned.
"So what exactly happened between you and that Hayato?" Ethan wanted to know the whole story.
Aisha sighed. She doesn't have a choice but to relay the whole story.
"Rogue Hayato, he's the only grandson left of Master Leon Hayato from Japan. I was just a kid when my grandad agreed for an arrange marriage. Grandpa needed their support for the organization back then. He needs to strengthen the Mafia Organization in the North. The organization under grandpa is the traditional one. They were known to be notorious gangsters before. The north feared them not because they respected them but because they are afraid of their lives. But when he died, dad took over the organization and change it completely. It was completely far from the traditional organization." Aisha smiled proudly for her father.
"Then one day, a letter came asking for the fulfillment of the arrange marriage between me and Rogue. I didn't have any idea about that, not even dad so he confronted them about it. Master Leon didn't accept Dad's proposition, so I went to Japan to cancel the wedding. Sophie went with me too. But something transpired while I was there and Master Leon blamed me for his son and grandson's death." She sighed.
"What exactly happened?" even Caleb and hunter didn't know the real story.
"He took his own life and I was a minute late to save his son. But that old man pointed the finger at me."
"Did you tell him the truth about what really happened?" Ethan inquired.
"I did but I can't tell them the whole truth." Aisha frowned.
"But why? why can't you? Is that even enough to risk your life? Your family?" Ethan sneered.
"It was his last wish. If I am able to take the consequences, then I'll try to protect his dignity. Besides, Master Leon won't even believe me."
"Have you tried telling him?" Ethan delved.
Aisha shook her head. "No, not yet."
"Then you don't have the right to assume the outcome. How could you say they won't believe you when you didn't even tell them the truth." Ethan explained.
Aisha lowered her head. Ethan is right, she didn't tell them the truth. But how can she justify what had transpired during that day to that proud old man? how could that old man accept the fact that his beloved son and grandson is involved with the biggest drug trafficking in Japan? That his son killed himself and his son committed suicide when the police were about to arrest them? She tried to save the son but she was a minute late. if only she found him a bit early then she might have save him. if only.
"Then it's time to talk to that old man. Do you have any idea as to where they are right now?" Ethan prodded but everybody shook their heads.
"But Ethan…" Aisha is wavering.
"Aisha, Ethan is right. this cycle will just keep on repeating itself unless you do something about it. you can't keep running away from it. You are not alone anymore." Caleb expressed his thoughts.
"Caleb is right, Aisha. It's time to face that old man. His thirst for revenge will never stop even if he dies unless you tell them what really happen. You should think about the people around you as well. What if they discover about Eli? or Stacy? If they can't get back at you, they'll surely harm the people around you." Hunter relayed. Lisa and Sophie nodded in agreement.
Aisha carefully considered their thoughts.
"Your right. sorry for being selfish. I'll fix this as soon as possible. I don't want anyone to get hurt anymore." She forced a smile.
"So I guess the plan is settled then?" Ethan asked the others and they nodded in agreement. "Well I think we'll have to do this the hard way since no one here knew where they are hiding." Ethan firmly uttered.
"Ethan what are you thinking?" Aisha was worried.
"I'll tell you later. For now, I need to see someone who might be able to help us." He kissed Aisha's forehead.
"Wait! I'll come with you!" Aisha implored.
"No, I'm good. Besides, your friends need you here. I'll just call you later, okay?"
"If you said so. Will Larry go with you?''
"Yes. Larry is on his way."
"Okay. take care." She kissed him in the lips.
Ethan excused himself to everyone then he walked towards the hospital exit. But why is Aisha feeling perturbed suddenly? She was looking at Ethan's retreating figure and a part of her wanted to stop Ethan but she shrugged it off. he'll be fine. She encouraged herself.
After a few minutes, the hospital was shaken by a deafening bomb explosion from the outside. It looks like it came from the open parking lot. Wait! Ethan! Aisha run outside the hospital building and forced her way to where the explosion is. A car was on fire!
As soon as she caught sight of the car that was on fire, her eyes widened in shock. Her knees feebly quaked, she faintly knelt on the ground as tears started to form in her eyes. She felt like her spirit came out from her body.
"No! Ethan! Ethan!" she yelled in despair.
