They have secured the place and was able to send the wounded men to the hospital.
It's just that they didn't capture Liam. though they might get some information from his men.
Aisha, Caleb and Mio search the whole place and seized all the stuffs that Liam kept. they even search his pile of documents to see any information about his illegal business.
Meanwhile, Shawn was sitting in the car waiting for Hunter and Sophie. Hunter successfully track the secret passage and he decided to invade the place via that route. Sophie knew about the plan so she decided to wait for hunter at the underground basement where the trucks are located.
"Where are you at?" Hunter communicated with Sophie using the earpiece speaker.
"At the underground basement. Just be careful, I see a lot of armed men outside." Sophie whispered.
"Wait for me there. I slipped inside a gray car." Hunter informed him. "Do you have all the documents with you?"
"I have them all. I'm ready to go."
"Okay. wait for me."
After a few minutes, Sophie spotted a gray SUV car entering the basement. She also noted the hole where it came from since there are three caves inside.
"I can see the gray SUV car." Sophie whispered. after a minute, she saw Hunter watchfully step out.
"Right side. Keep walking." Sophie was guiding him to where she was.
Hunter was surprise when someone suddenly grabbed him from behind. He was about to hit when he felt a soft mound of flesh against his chest. he jerked.
"Sophie!" his eyes widened. They were so close that Sophie's breast was touching his chest. Dang! How he wants to kiss the woman in front of him. Yes, he misses her so much.
"Miss me?" she teased.
"Did I?" Hunter smirked.
"I think you did. I heard everything from Aisha." she mockingly grinned.
"Really? I don't know what nonsense did Aisha tell you but you must not believe everything just by hearing." Hunter pushed her on the wall with his arms leaning on the partition.
"Nonsense?" Sophie scoffed. "why did I even presume that you care when in fact you were rejoicing that I was trapped." She averted her eyes. "Well, sorry if I bothered you by saving me----''
Sophie was dumbstruck when Hunter suddenly captured her lips. he was kissing her hungrily, as if they were lovers separated by distance and decades. A tear escaped Sophie's eyes.
"I'm sorry." She heard hunter whispered. "I don't want to lose you the second time around."
Sophie couldn't resist her own emotions anymore, she allowed tears to trickle from her cheeks. She never thought that she will ever hear him say those words. Then she felt Hunter's finger wiping her cheeks as he traces her lips. once again, he kissed her passionately and Sophie responded to his advances.
After a few minutes of savoring each other's lips, Hunter looked at her glimmering eyes. "How many days haven't you brush your teeth?" he grinned.
Suddenly, Sophie pushed him away. Her face reddened in embarrassment. Indeed, she didn't wash since the day she was trapped.
"I hate you!" she yelled but Hunter laughed nonchalantly as if they have forgotten where they are.
"Who's there?!" they heard someone shouted in a distance. Immediately, they've collected themselves and hide. The guy's silhouette is nearing them, now they are priming to strike anytime.
One-two—Blaggg!!! A loud thud echoed in a hall. The guy was now lying on the floor because Hunter wallop him with his bare hands.
"Run!" Hunter held Sophie's hand as they dash towards the staircase.
"Intruder!" The guy shouted weakly. That caught the guard's attention and run towards him. as soon as they heard the details of the intruder, the men spread to search for them.
"Shawn, can you hear me?" Hunter beckoned.
"Yes. what's your situation now?" Shawn responded.
"Were doomed!" he yelled. "Wait for Sophie at the main gate. I'll try to lure the men after us."
"What? you're staying?" Sophie paused. "No! we'll escape together!" she insisted.
"Sophie listen! You need to secure the documents that you have. I'll try to lure them until the INL comes." He beseeched her while holding her arms. "Please."
"Damn you Hunter!" Sophie cried. "I'll stay with you until help comes in!"
"Sophie!" Hunter shouted firmly. "You'll just slow me down! I can only concentrate if I know that you're safe."
Hunter saw the men climbing up the stairs, they're nearing so he fired his gun. dang! now he triggered the whole place. Then they saw more men loping up the stairs so they scampered until they reach the main house.
There were men everywhere and they'll surely have a hard time going near the gate. Hunter and Sophie started shooting back to back, aiding each other. but more and more men were approaching them.
"Sophie, will you marry me?" Hunter suddenly asked the woman leaning on his back.
"Are you now trying to imitate the scene from the pirates of the Caribbean at worlds end?" Sophie responded while shooting.
"Maybe?" He chuckled. "Same scenario, same situation." Gunshots exchange are everywhere. "I'm waiting for your answer!" he yelled.
"I have watch that movie and I don't like the ending!" Sophie yelped.
"Just give your answer Sophie before it's too late. I can be your priest and your witness too." Shawn heard them via the earpiece speaker. He had the sniper with him and was shooting from the distance.
"Fine! Yes, I do!" As soon as Hunter heard her answer, he faced and kissed her zealously.
"Fudge! Can't you even wait for my cue?" Shawn interjected but his not hearing any response from them. Guess they're busy kissing somewhere.
"Fine! I now pronounce you husband and wife." Shawn chuckled as he keeps shelling one person at a time.
"Shawn can you help me clear the gate?" Hunter asked after their minute kiss.
"Yes." he answered. "No problem."
"I'll entice them. Sophie make sure you get out; I'll follow as soon as I can." Hunter implored.
"Make sure to follow the soonest possible or I'll kill you myself!" Sophie scowled before scampering towards the gate while Hunter back her up.
Hunter was about to follow but if he scurries right towards the gate, he will surely be shot. Now he needs to make sure that no one would be able to follow Sophie so he stayed inside instead.
However, after a few minutes, he run out of bullets and now the men are advancing towards his location.
"Damn!" he cursed. Is this the end of his luck? Well, it can't be help. Then he released a heavy sigh and smiled dolefully. But he doesn't want Sophie to hear his last breath so he took his earpiece and broke it. knowing her, she will surely come back to save him but he can't risk that. their enemies were too many to be handled by one or two person only.
"I'm sorry guys. Guess this is the end." He thought.
