One Year Later.

Prince Zain visited his brother in the prison room. He had a full smile on his lips while having a conversation with his brother.

"Bro, I was amazed that you chose to remain here in the prison room and stay true to our deal even if we both know that you can always ditch our deal anytime. Your honesty and sincerity blow my mind away. I'm simply amazed by your dedication. I visited you here to officially inform you that from now on you are free. You can leave this room anytime and my grudges to you were gone, I have forgiven you. And if you want to marry Jessy, go ahead, you'll have my blessing," he said.

Adam was teary-eyed upon hearing the good news from his brother's lips. "Thank you so much, brother! I feel elated that you had finally forgiven me and willing to give your blessing to my union with Jessy. It makes me so happy! My stay here for two years is worth it!" he stated, his face was glowing with happiness. Now that he and his brother are already in good terms, it's about time to marry Jessy.

The brothers hugged each other affectionately for a few minutes.

Now its time for a celebration!

"Bro, come with me outside. Our parents have prepared a special family dinner just for this happy occasion," Prince Zain said.

Adam and Zain exited the prison room heading to the queen's study room.

When they entered the study room... King Antone, Queen Margaret, and Princess Abigail were sitting on the sofa together with Hannah and her baby but notably absent was Jessy.

Adam smiled happily at everyone inside the room, in his mind, he was puzzled why Jessy was absent on this occasion?

There were human foods in the center table that was specially prepared for Hannah, Zain, and Adam, while there's one pitcher of blood for the King, Queen, and the Princess.

"Now hold your glasses, guys! We will have a toast to celebrate this day! I'm so happy today because my two sons have finally mended their differences and we're starting all over again heading in the right direction," the Queen concluded.

King Antone holds his glass. "Today, we gathered here for a celebration. Once again, our family is intact and one in spirit. We will face the future with unity and love for each other. Cheers!" he said happily.

Everyone holds their glasses and made a toast, then drink from their glasses.

They looked at each other with happiness shimmering in their eyes.

"Where's Jessy, guys?" Adam was asking for the whereabouts of his lady love.

Everyone in the room turned silent.

The King and Queen looked at each other.

Queen Margaret rose to her feet and grabbed her son's arm. "Son, come with me to our room. I have lots of things to tell you. Things that you didn't know about while you're staying inside the prison room."

Adam went along with her mother in the royal bed-chamber.

They entered the room, the mother and son sat on the sofa facing each other.

Queen Margaret took a deep breath before telling her son the things that were making Jessy busy.

"Son, it's about time you will know these things. Jessy stopped doing blood transfusion since last year. She befriended some military officials that wanted to use her talents and power for the greater good. If she can solve a lot of crimes and other unsolved cases, and also capture fugitives that have been hiding from the law for a long time, then they will present solid evidence to the higher officials, as a confirmation that she can be of great help to the law enforcers dealing with extreme crimes such as preventing terrorist attacks from happening. In return for her services, the government will award clemency to the surviving vampires hiding in the Facility and the Habitat," she explained.

Adam fell silent for a moment pondering what Jessy has done, was it sheer stupidity or a stroke of brilliance? Somehow he was doubting if the government will really grant clemency to the surviving vampires and just forget the decade long war...or they were just going to use and manipulate Jessy for their gains.

But Jessy isn't that stupid to just strike a deal with the military officials if she doesn't know what she's doing. Besides, Jessy has loads of powers for her disposal, nothing can hurt her therefore he should not worry much about her safety.

"So, Jessy become a crime-buster the whole time I was staying in the prison room?" Adam asked.

"Yes. She was solving cases left and right. Jessy told me that it's a golden opportunity worth pursuing because it would provide safety and security to the surviving vampire clan permanently. She wants us to join the human society one day and live among humans and not feel like e are some kind of fugitives always hiding below the ground. Your father and I believe in her cause, so we give her our blessings," said Queen Margaret.

Adam shrugged. "Alright... If you guys trusted her decision then so be it. I won't get on the way but I think I should be the one doing what she's doing out there so that she can continue doing blood transfusion," he voiced his opinion. Every time Jessy paid him a visit in the prison room, she's pretending that the blood transfusion was going well. She never mentioned to him that she was doing dangerous stuff outside for the law enforcers. She intended to keep her outside activities a secret to him.

"So, what is your plan, son? Will you volunteer to take Jessy's place?" the queen asked.

"Of course, I will Mom. I'll marry Jessy anytime soon. We'll have a family of our own and raise our children. It's only right that I will be the one facing the danger outside... not her," Adam revealed his plan with Jessy to his mother.

"Alright, your father and I will leave the decision to the two of you since you're both adults already and this concerns the future of your family," the queen said.

"Where is Jessy staying nowadays, Mother? In the city?" he asked.

"She told me that she stays mostly in the mansion with Nana Aida," Queen Margaret answered and rose to her feet. "Let's go back now to the study room and continue the celebration, son," she spoke and sauntered towards the door.

Adam followed his mother into the study room.
