Is this a joke or some kind of trap?

He actually waited for me to come out? Clearing my throat I cautiously went up and asked from outside. "You're not here because you like me aren't you?"

It was shameless of me but why would you come back and wait? I'm no celebrity and you're not even a paparazzi.

I saw how his eyes twitched and heard him puff before closing his windows and then sped up, leaving me behind. Fine, I was brazen and assuming but boy you could have just straightforwardly denied. You're acting like some 'tsundere'.

I waited if he'd come back so I could hitch a ride but the car went straight with no intention of returning.

After some delay, I finally rode a taxi and had the driver drop me on one of the busiest street of the city. The place where most people in their late teens and early adults hang out. No need to say but I asked him to get me near clubs and bars. The place was bustling when I arrived screaming to my face 'Welcome to Empire Avenue'.

I chose this place not just because I was itching to do some clubbing but I was also hoping I could find clues here as this links to the real me. Clubbing and bar hopping would only be my secondary priority. I remember in some novels that there are items that cause this kind of phenomenon so I must look for those.

Few teens would stop and ask me out but I politely declined as my focal point was to find something that could aid me in going back. And if I may be truthful, they weren't my type. This body is 20 but my soul is already 31 and though they were in their late teens, I don't want to be the lady that corrupts good kids. My old father would kill me if he knew I was being a cougar.

"This was the place you want to go?" Someone interrupted my thoughts asked me from behind.

What's this kind of obsession? Why are they all asking me from behind?!

I ignored that voice and continued my walk. I walked quickly crossing the road. He did not ask again but I can hear some footsteps following me.

Annoyed, I looked back and asked, "Loner, are you a stalker now?"

As we were on the sidewalk with some people passing by, they can't help but turn their heads upon my mention of the word 'stalker'. I felt smug that he'd embarrass himself.

Instead of shying away from the stranger's gazes, I heard him answer, "Yep. Full time." displaying his devilish smile.

Those gazes turned into praises and he even earned some fans. All males whistled in admiration.

"Woah, that was smooth!" exclaimed some guys.

"Be my stalker!" cried the girls.

I get it now. I misunderstood that they stopped by the word 'stalker' when it was that face that did the sorcery. I quickly turned away and let my mind think of him as an apparition.

I headed to the circle where majority of people were going. It was like a free market that acts as a makeshift gallery to many vendors who sells variety of handmade original objects geared primarily toward women, such as necklaces, earrings and other jewelry.

'Think, what were the items I have at home?' I ask myself as I looked around. Some have their own tent while the others lay mats to sit down and arranged their items. It was a little confusing considering the number of people wandering and buying but you'll get used to it.

I sucked in deep breath when I happened to see a small wooden box with its top painted in flower patterns.

I remembered my friend giving me the same box during my birthday. I was happy as it was my first time receiving a proper gift from her. Right away I opened it just to be disappointed that it was empty, her reason being that the box was the gift itself and if I'm expecting something nice then I should wait for my next birthday. In my next birthday, she gave me her cord with trinity of hearts jade bracelet. She was wearing it that day when she passed it telling me, "I don't have the wrap for it as it was already given last year."

'D*mn, I miss her'. She's the kind of friend that won't be out of explanations whether you fought or in argument with a common enemy.

"Are you selling this?" I asked excitedly then I saw the 'for sale for xx' cardboard cut just beside it. Somebody stifled his laughter but all in all there was a sound of silence around me, talk about embarrassing.

I cleared my throat,"Did you paint this?" I asked this time around to dispel my awkwardness and the vendor nodded.

"I colored them blue and purple to convey hope and faith, wisdom and compliments. They're irises." She said while letting me hold it to take a look in closer.

No wonder my friend gave me the box. It was because of the flowers. Talk about meaningful.

"I'll get this." I told her and handed it back to her while I get my purse.

"Found anything you like, sir?" the vendor asked to one customer who came studying the items.

If it's not Mr. Yi then who would it be? It's not like my presence can earn those glowing admiration from the females. Somehow, the area was even more crowded.

"Sadly, no." he answered politely as I gave the lady my money and she handed me the box in a paper bag. I said my thanks and moved on not caring about him.

I stopped by a crowd who's intently watching a street performance. It's a duo holding their acoustic guitar and lively singing modern pop songs. The guy got a deep and a bit raspy voice while the lady had a sweet voice that blended right with his. Right after finishing one song, they'd ask their audience what they would like them to cover then they'd continue singing.

I continued to wander until the sky darkened reminding me that it was night time and bars and club shall open. Since I was lucky enough to find a box the same with what I had before, I think that rewarding me a little won't be too much.

I cautiously looked around to check if he was still following me. Left side, clear. Right side, affirmative, the guy was gone.

I went past the art café into an alley and queued along the people lining up wanting to enter the club. There was already a long line when I came so I could only patiently wait with them.

I heard from the people lining up in front that a popular DJ and singer was invited inside hence the tight security. By the time the doors opened, the line had quadrupled in length and people kept pushing. The security team was very strict; they'll pull aside anyone who was underage and those that don't look like their pictures in their i.d to avoid fake holders. Some females who were wearing thick make ups had to remove them just so they could prove it was theirs.
