Qai explained to his sister that his next plan was actually to look for a demonic beast that had the ability to fly so he could make use of it as his alternative mount.

In fact, searching for such was on top of his priority during the journey. So he was actually imagining something like encountering demonic beasts of eagle descent as he preferred to tame one that could definitely be useful for long but fast travels.

"You're unfair," Shu Liang sarcastically yelled at Qai.

Qai simply laughed and gave his sister a big grin. Shu Liang, on the other hand, was evidently trying to mock Qai's uncanny ability.

With all the domesticated demonic beasts—even if they did not have any elemental affinities—Qai's battle power was undoubtedly tripled.

The only thing that could probably be said as a disadvantage was that he could not bring all his demonic beasts with him in battles—that was why Qai allowed members of his family to make use of the domesticated demonic beasts as their mounts.

But now that he possessed a 'Chui Shi,' he could at least bring some with him.

"Why not tame a dragon then!?' Shu Liang suddenly asked after a sigh.

"Ah."

Qai wanted to slightly knock his sister's head believing it was a joke but when he looked at Shu Liang, he was definitely certain that his sister was not jesting; she was seriously and curiously suggesting.

The siblings were obviously young to know everything—but certain knowledge about things like dragons and other 'unique' existences were not scarce that even mortals often speak of them.

And while dragons were believed to be the peak of existence in cultivation world, they were already considered extinct and probably existed by now only in the historical records. Thus, in reality, Shu Liang's out-of-nowhere suggestion seemed to be just a wishful thinking.

Qai himself had never entertained taming a dragon; or more exactly, it had never crossed his mind. And even if he miraculously encountered one, he cannot be certain if a dragon could actually be tamed—as it could probably have some sort of way to counter the 'Beast Taming' skill being the top creature in the cultivation world. In fact, one could not even be certain to survive in front of the mere aura of a dragon.

"Ha ha..," Qai replied in jest. "If only there were still dragons.."

Shu Liang looked into the horizon with deep facial expression as if she was looking at a specific place.

"I heard that there were cultivators with dragon bloodline," Shu Liang said. "So I thought maybe those kinds of cultivators would know if there are still dragons."

"Eh."

It was apparently Qai's first time hearing things about bloodlines.

***************

Cultivators with bloodlines were special—although, at the current age, their numbers were already few.

Once in the past, they were said to be the superior beings in the cultivation world. But because it was not everyday that cultivators were born with special bloodlines, such cultivators began to become sporadic in a sense.

Actually, variety of bloodlines existed and each had their own peculiarities. But one common thing among cultivators with bloodlines was that they possessed superior bodies.

They actually had greater bodily strength, speed, reflexes, and so forth, resulting in greater overall battle power.

This fact made cultivators with bloodlines felt self-entitled which often resulted in them being arrogant. And that explained why many ordinary cultivators hated bloodline possessors.

As a result, cultivators with bloodlines would normally group together as they became targets of ordinary cultivators.

And with respect to their cultivation, bloodline possessors were required to consume much more resources than ordinary cultivators which made their cultivation speed a little slower—which was deemed to be its backside.

However, those cultivators can easily break through stages and realms which means they rarely experienced bottlenecks.

In short, cultivation was slow but easy.

****************

'I wonder if the founders of the Heavenly Dragon Sect and their current higher-ups have dragon bloodline,' Qai thought.

Qai obviously came up with such conclusion due to the word 'dragon' in the sect's name.

The new information Qai was receiving, all of a sudden, made Qai feel small and thought that it really made sense why cultivators need to travel the world—and that was to widen one's horizon in order for one to be able to adjust his cultivation ways and get stronger.

Qai instantly became even more excited in his travel and thought it wise to visit Jiang City's library first to browse some books to get more information.

"Big sister," he called. "Would you like to come with me and see Jiang City's library first?"

"Eh."

Qai then relayed some of his thoughts and described his idea in detail why he wanted to browse some books.

"That doesn't sound bad," Shu Liang said. "But you should come with me as well and check out an auction house."

Qai agreed as he also wanted to see for himself how a proper auction was done.

"We might be able to see what we're looking for."
