The next morning, Shu Wei instructed the twin to once again stay in the room and stabilize their cultivation. He handed them extra pair of gathering pills to aid them.

He also asked Qai to let Shandian stay in the inn because they will be visiting his old clan.

The clan was owned by the Mo family.

When the Patriarch Mo Chen heard that Shu Wei is coming, he felt elated.

Shu Wei was once a promising young guard in the family. He was so trustworthy that Mo Chen tasked him in the past to guard the inner manor.

It will be a good reunion between the two.

***************

As Shu Wei and Qai passed across the large mansion of Mo Clan, Qai noticed the cultivation levels of young disciples his age.

Most of them are at the peak sky stage. He shook his head and realized how valueable resources were.

'Truly, truly...,' he said to himself, 'I'm just a frog in the well.'

'So this is what a clan is like,' he thought.

As they continued to move towards a hall reserved for guests, an old voice suddenly boomed,

"It's been a while Little Wei, ho ho ho."

The father and son looked from where the voice springed from. Once Shu Wei saw the direction, he knelt down and pulled his son to do the same.

"Greetings Patriarch!" Shu Wei humbly said.

"Ho ho ho, please stand up Little Wei, you don't need to be polite," Mo Chen said as he released his mid Earth stage of Emperor realm aura.

Qai's body felt chills as he swallowed a mouthful of blood. He obviously cannot withstand the pressure from the aura of an emperor.

Shu Wei however barely struggled.

"Hmmn," Mo Chen muttered, "it seems Little Wei has finally entered sage realm."

"Yes, Patriarch.. it was thanks to this son of mine that I had the inspiration to breakthrough."

"And what brings you here to finally visit these old bones?" Mo Chen asked.

"Patriarch," Shu Wei replied, "it was because I would like to repay my son with a gift I was supposed to procure in this city that I come to you."

Shu Wei paused then went on, "my son prefers a bow as his weapon, but unfortunately, we can't find a good one in the market."

"And what does that have to do with me?" the Patriarch inquired.

"Unworthy though we are, we are here to see if your excellency can spare an old bow from the clan," Shu Wei explained. "Rest assured we will be paying for it for the right amount."

"Hmmm," Mo Chen thought for a moment then said, "how about it, I got an old 'Darkwood Composite Bow' in the treasury."

"I'll give it to you for free on one condition," the Patriarch said. "how about I test the strength of the would-be heir to my old bow, eh?"

"In three days, we'll set off to do some hunt.. your son will be up against one of our disciples," he explained.

The father and son duo were shocked with the proposal.

"I... I accept the Patriarch's challenge," Qai replied in a respectful manner.

"Good, good," Mo Chen said. "Ho ho ho ho, I'm expecting a good show Little Wei. I hope your son won't dissapoint me."

**********

The father and son left the clan mansion and dropped by the treasure pavilion. They had an imperative goal this time.

They bought some intermediate pills to help Qai push his cultivation up by another level. They needed to set everything well in three days so they hurried back to the inn and started their preparations.

For three days without stop, all of them together with the twin spent the time strengthening themselves.

Finally, on the third day, Qai opened his eyes and felt the power of mid sky stage. He was oozing with his new found strength when he looked at Shandian that was also emitting the same level of energy.

He stood up, and called to his father,

"Father, it's time."
