Unfortunately, Shu Liang and her companions had not met the Thunder Prince when they arrived at the Sun City's Thousand Treasures Pavilion. The elder was said to be in closed door cultivation and could not be disturbed.

However, their trip to the Pavilion was not in vain.

Apparently, the Thunder Prince had instructed all the members of the branch to accommodate and treat well any person endorsed by 'The Hunters' Plateau.'

Shu Liang was eventually able to purchase her 'Flight' skill scroll in a surprisingly half the price.

But even if the price was slashed into half, she still had to spend few hundreds of 'Spirit Stones' because it turned out that the skill was Unique class of Sage grade—meaning, it did not require any elemental affinity.

"Unique!?"

In truth, it was just that activating it with Wind elemental affinity would double its speed and efficiency so most Sages who equipped the skill had Wind elemental affinity.

"No wonder we could not find one in many of the shops around," one of the group said.

That also explained why the skill scroll was way expensive than common and rare class Sage grade scrolls.

Some of Shu Liang's companions also bought rare pills to aid their cultivation. They were shared with some Spirit Stones so they eventually had some wealth to spend.

The group eventually head back to 'The Hunters' Plateau' shop and planned to cultivate while waiting for Shu Liang's set of inner armors.

**************

Deep in the night, Qai arrived in a forested area to the south of Rockfield Borough.

He eventually activated his 'Hawkeye' skill and scanned the area to look for a suitable place to spend cultivation. But he was surprised to see from a mile behind a group of five cultivators.

From afar, he could not tell their exact strength but his guess was that they also came from the forbidden Hundred Graves and they were after his treasures.

He then quickly hid himself in the dark and poured some Qi into his Shadow Cloak.

'Shua!'

Several breaths later, the group of five Sage cultivators arrived from where Qai disappeared.

"Where's the brat?" The leader of the group asked the scout.

"Are you sure he went this way?" Another one asked.

"I'm certain he used this path," the scout explained.

Apparently Qai's Qi presence was completely gone. So the group could not locate where Qai headed next.

Few yards away from them Qai was silently sitting in a branch.

'Five Earth stage Sages,' Qai said to himself.

The group was eventually only composed of two peak Earth stage and three mid Earth stage Sages.

They group actually felt that they could take on Qai who went solo even if he was in the initial Sky stage. They believed their superior numbers would be able to suppress Qai's strength.

But they did not expect to lose their prey's trail.

"Let's split up and search around," the leader instructed. "I have a feeling his just hiding around somewhere.."

The group members nodded.

"But do not engage when you find him," the leader added. "We should fight him with all five of us for higher success."

They knew that Qai must have already controlled the Inheritance rank items he found so they could not simply underestimate his strength.

The group then split into two and head their separate ways.

However, seeing that the group split, Qai could only grin with a decisive look.

In such situation, Qai had only one thing in mind—take advantage of his Shadow Cloak and the darkness of the night!

'Forget the crap like having a moral code,' Qai said to himself. 'All is fair in war!'

Since it appeared somewhat impossible to escape facing the enemy, then he must seek every chance to catch the target off guard and to strike first. If he could kill the enemies with less move, then it would be the best.

Qai took a deep breath before he stood up still in his invisibility mode and left his place.

'Shua!'

***************

"Who's there!?"

The leader who was accompanied by another member of the group suddenly turned his head and said.

He apparently felt that a slight movement had just passed by behind them.

All of sudden, a dozen of punches landed on to the body of the other member of the group.

'Thunder Fist.'

'Thud,' 'thud,' 'thud,' 'thud,' 'thud,' 'thud,' 'thud,' 'thud,' 'thud,' 'thud,' 'thud,' 'thud.'

"Argh."

The group leader was stunned at what just occurred.

Qai actually sneaked with a closed range attack. And right after that, he summoned his black tiger from his spatial pendant to unleash a quick slash to the same target to finish the enemy off.

'Roooaaaaar.'

The dead body of the mid Earth stage Sage fell to the ground.

The two surprise assault eventually killed the target in just few breaths.

The group leader was thinking of running away to head back to the other members of the group but he was stopped by the sudden laugh from Qai.

"If you're going to look for your companions, you won't find them," Qai suddenly said.

"What!?"

The group leader was not confused. He knew what Qai meant—that they were already done by the enemy in front of him.

He never expected that Qai was strong.

On the other hand, Qai seemed so relaxed. In fact, he even stooped down in front of the enemy to get the dead cultivator's spatial ring.

He had collected all the enemies' spatial rings thinking they could have contained some Inheritance items—unfortunately, he had found none from the other members.

And right after he took the spatial ring, he summoned Shandian back to his 'Chui Shi' and once again infused Qi into his Shadow Cloak.

'Shua!'
