Yu Yue wouldn't leave the person, she treated as her master and foster parent at the same time, behind.

A hundred-and-ten for an age was technically not old for cultivators--it was in fact relatively young--but to have stuck at such stage in cultivation can really be considered regretful.

"That's great," Qai replied. "I was actually looking for two persons to be of service to our family.. ahmm.. may I know where's this person you're speaking of?"

Qai was obviously not very particular with the level of cultivation vis-a-vis the age in his quest to look for a servant.

"We live in a hut, Young master.. just outside the village..," Yu Yue said pointing her hand towards the north.

"Come, show me the way," Qai stood and hurriedly pulled Yu Yue.

When the two came out of the inn, Shandian and the demonic War Horse got up quickly. This time, Qai didn't mount the beast. He simply gestured the two demonic beasts to follow after them.

From the inn until the village north entrance, the children kept following them in amazement of the demonic beasts.

Qai, right there and then, communicated mentally to Shandian before they stepped outside the village. And upon hearing the words of Qai, the black tiger faced the children and some other villagers nearby.

Shandian then released, for a show, a heaven stage lightning aura and roared mightily but with sincere amiability to the delight of the children.

The children were stunned with the power they felt. They were all the more amazed and looked at Qai with reverence and fear at the same time.

And just before Qai and company set off, one of the kids approached them and called out.

"Big brother, big brother," the boy yelled.

He looked like he was about 5 years of age.

Qai turned his head towards the boy. He felt the boy was somewhat familiar when he saw the face rushing towards him.

"Big brother.. you must remember me!" the boy said.

Qai looked again with curled brows and asked, "You do look somebody I knew."

"You may not know me personally.. but you once saved my life from a group of bandits.. My name is Shen.. and I can clearly remember you and your tiger," the boy explained.

Upon hearing the words of the boy, Qai's face suddenly turned bright and recalled the incident more than a year ago.

"So Shen, how come you're here?" Qai asked.

"Big brother, life is better here than the city..," Shen replied, "...there, I hardly got anything to eat so I decided to leave.. but here, the Chief gives me small tasks so I can eat.."

Qai thought for a moment and said, "Shen, would you like to come with us? You can live with us from now on and work tasks as well."

Shen's eyes grew big and bright. He didn't expect the turn of events as he just wanted to personally thank Qai once more when he recognized Qai and Shandian.

He simply nodded delightedly and instantly followed. Qai quickly handed him the reins of the War Horse to which Shen understood what it meant.

"Come, walk with us.. we're gonna see someone," Qai instructed.

**************

"Master, master," Yu Yue yelled when they got near the hut.

The place were about half a kilometer away from the northern gate and the hut stood in the middle of the woods.

The so-called woods was only a small forrested portion so beasts were rare in the area.

And when Qai and company were almost a meter away from the door, an old man opened the door.

"Yue'er, you're early..," the old man stopped in the middle of his remarks when he noticed Qai, the two other beasts and a child together with Yu Yue.

"Master," anwered Yu Yue, "I met the young master of the Shu family, he's here to hire our services."

'Who would stupidly hire such an old low-leveled cultivator like me,' the old cultivator thought.

Seeing that Yu Yue's master was confused, Qai explained everything about his intentions.

The old man's name was Ming Yu--but most people in the village called him Old Yu.

He has Wind elemental affinity and, as told, he's only at the peak earth of Expert realm. And like many cultivators with wind element, his first but 'only' skill was Cloud Steps.

After learning that the offer was to become servants, both Old Yu and Yu Yue agreed without hesitation--having stuck at their cultivation at such a low level, they were treated like mortals anyway by other cultivators.

So they thought that serving a reputable family was probably the better choice for both of them. Who would know what could become of them in the future.

"Old Yu," Qai said, "from now on, you and Yu Yue are gonna be members of the Shu family."
