Indeed, the participation of the Shu family was the first step the Han Valley initially devised. And so far, everything was falling into the right place.

It was providential enough that the Shu family agreed to the Han Valley's request and the family even exerted extra effort in requesting for Mo Clan's support—that in itself was proof that the Shu family's influence was no joke.

"If that is what you feel..," Shu Wu hesitantly expressed, "..then I will proudly proclaim that the Shu family will do its best to support your endeavor in exterminating those bandits.."

"You have my thanks Elder Shu Wu," chief Xing Yi replied. "And please extend my gratitude to your father.. I feel sorry that I was not personally able to go to your family to ask for your help back then.."

"That's not a problem..," Shu Wu quickly interrupted. "It is our pleasure to help.. as long our abilities could, we would gladly offer our help.."

Xing Yi and Shu Wu both bowed to one another as a sign of respect.

"And besides..," Shu Wu added, "..its not like our Shu family won't benefit anything from it.. so it's like it's also an opportunity for us."

In the next few moments, the deliberation went to as far as estimating the level of danger the event would pose, to discussions of how to strategically enter the domains of the bandits, and to distribution of rewards.

Qai even joined the discussion and suggested that to entice more cultivators, the Han Valley could consider implementing equitable sharing of a portion of the loot.

"Cultivators of low level should have the courage to grab the opportunity to participate," Qai explained. "We need them to make up for the numbers."

"But obviously most of them would be disheartened if they realize that the loot would personally go those who make the kills..," he further said.

"Say, if I know that I would put my life in danger only to end up improperly compensated, then what would be the use of participating in the first place," Qai smartly described.

Many who heard his words were about to raise their objections but Qai was quick to follow up his words. Many were of the opinion that the strong have the right to take what is due to them.

"I understand that the strong cultivators are whom we need most to truly exterminate the enemies..," he went on with complete determination, "..and we should make use of the spoils to get them to join us.. so there's also the dilemma of discouraging them if we put too much favor on the weak.."

"So I suggest that we put up some sort of system like 50 percent of the loot goes to the cultivator who personally kills the bandit and 30 percent goes to the Han Valley treasury while the remaining 20 percent would be collected by the host which would be equally distributed to all participant at the end of the event," Qai emphatically suggested.

Everyone was in awe with the wisdom of the youth from the Shu family. None of them had ever thought of it since in the cultivation world, the mindset of most of them was to impose one's might.

"That way, even those vagrant cultivators only in the Expert realm wouldn't think twice in participating the event," Qai concluded.

There was complete silence when Qai finished his words. Even the Han Valley chief didn't know what to say.

"Brilliant.. that's just a brilliant idea!"

It was Elder Long who finally spoke in a strong tone. He himself was speechless during all those times Qai was proposing the entire idea but found the suggestion very convincing.

"Ha ha.. No wonder our Mo Clan Patriarch was fond of you," the elder said as he chuckled.

He already met Qai back when the Mo Clan hosted the hunting competition few years ago but he was unaware how smart the youth from Shu family was.

"And no wonder why the Shu family was recently on the rise," one elder remarked.

From then, small sounds of noise from the elders in the hall echoed.

"If only our family had this kind of disciple..," another one softly remarked.

"Ahem," the Han Valley chief murmured.

"If all of you agree with the young master's suggestion, then we should go for it..," she said.

Everyone was once again turned into silence.

"Is there any other idea better than that?" Elder Long sarcastically asked while looking at the faces of every elder present as if to refrain others from making any reaction.

The discussion finally ended with the decision that the Bandit Extermination would start in a month's time. The decision was made on the basis that the earlier the better—otherwise, attacks may continue to occur.

Each family present took the initiative to advertise the hosting of the event. So immediately many of them went to work.

The Mo Clan elders quickly rode the 'Spirit' Python and went back to Jiang City while the Shu Siblings decided to stay for the night—they chose to stay at the inn owned by the Mo Clan even if many other families offered their accommodation.
