"Jing..," Shu Liang called after the sudden retreat of the bandits.

Jing and Shandian who looked very exhausted slowly approached Shu Liang who was rushing with the two Dire Wolves.

"Where's little Qai?" Shu Liang asked with a worry.

It was opportune that the bandits suddenly withdrew from the battle. Jing and Shandian, who were dead tired after continuously activating their skills, were finally able to catch up with 'The Hunters' Plateau' team.

"The young master is in that woods..," Jing replied as he pointed at area which was about a kilometer far from where they actually stood.

"Oh," Shu Liang muttered.

She then looked around and immediately figured out what happened after seeing Qai's familiar arrows.

Shu Liang threw a medicinal pill towards Jing in mid air who caught it with his right hand and took it quickly to replenish himself. She also fed Shandian with one.

"Shandian..," Shu Liang said as she suddenly pat the black tiger's head, "..tell little Qai that he can head back to the team."

'Groowl.'

"Anyway," she quickly added as she turned her head towards the dead bodies lying around, "let's quickly pick up their valuables."

Jing and Shandian heeded Shu Liang's suggestion and quickly grabbed the spatial rings and weapons of the slain bandits.

"Send everyone back to the base after they get their spoils," the Han Valley chief ordered.

She looked around and noticed how the teams quickly cleaned up the bandits' dead body by plundering anything of value of value.

"Back!?" an elder asked embarrassingly asked as he couldn't figure out how could the chief suddenly decide to return.

"Yes..," the chief replied with determination. "Then gather all the leaders as soon as we get there and we shall proceed with our original plan," chief Xing Yi said.

"Original plan!?" the same elder asked.

"Instead of them surprising us with an ambush, why not raid them instead," the chief wisely answered with a grin.

"That's wise indeed," Elder Long suddenly interrupted who just arrived to the gathering.

"Elder Long," a Han Valley greeted with a bow.

"I have a hunch that the bandits are expecting us to pursue them..," the Mo Clan elder added.

All who heard his words could not disagree more as they felt the overbearing presence of the elder.

"I'm pretty sure we can still overpower them even if they lie in wait and ambush us..," Elder long added as looked far towards the direction of the clan disciples and the other cultivators, "..however, we should be ready to lose some should we decide to tail them."

The chief explained in addition that they rather execute their original plan of dividing their forces into two and attack their encampment separately. And she added that to ensure that the bandits would be back in their camps when they attack, they will let the bandits in the gorge to rot and get tired of waiting.

"Let them wait in that gorge for ages," the chief said with a chuckle.

"Hope they would indeed be fed up of waiting," an elder seconded.

"Send a spy and tell him to report back to us any movement from their side," the chief instructed.

After everything was cleared, all of the team leaders informed their members the new instruction from the Han Valley chief.

"Let's head back to the base and see to it that everyone get to recover..," she added. "We shall test the waters later at dawn if we can start making a move.

******************

Thanks to the sudden retreat of the bandits, Qai was able to head back to the team with ease.

And as he approached the rest of the Han Valley team, Shu Wu immediately saw him and rode to him fast on one of the two War Horses.

"Little Qai," he called as if waiting for good news.

"Big brother..," he replied with a wide grin who removed his spatial ring and threw it to his big brother, "..take a look."

Shu Wu caught the ring from mid air and quickly peeked into it.

"Ahh," Shu Almost shouted in surprise.

He looked back at Qai whose facial expression obviously wanted to tell him to keep it low.

"Where did you get all of these!?" Shu Wu whispered as he handed the ring back to his younger brother.

"Big brother," Qai cautiously answered back as rubbed his nose. "We should discuss it when we get back to our tent.."

Qai obviously did not want the other cultivators nearby to overhear what they were talking about. And just as when Qai was about to say something more, a familiar voice called from behind.

"Shu Qai."

Qai slowly turned his face and looked at the cultivator from where the voice came. He was taken aback that the person's face was so near him who said words that even more surprised him.

"Where have you been, Shu Qai?"

"Ah."
