The servant set the tray down on the table, seeing that he was about to serve them, Sharlin waved him off leaning over to pour the tea for Ren.
Frowning Ren looked over to Sharlin "Let him do it" he ordered.
Looking up at Ren's with an aggrieved expression Sharlin put down the teapot, and leaned back into her chair, hiding her clenched fists in the sleeves of her gown she waited for the servant to finish serving them.
He wouldn't even allow her the simple pleasure of something as simple as serving him tea, she thought to herself bitterly.
Feeling the cold aura emanating from his king, the servant quickly finished his task and hurried out of the room, closing the door behind him.
Picking up his teacup, Ren took a sip "You were saying ..."
Clearing the bitter thoughts running through her head, Sharlin got back to the real topic that she wanted to talk to Ren about.
"As you know, Shaolin has many divine artifacts, once the news gets out, everyone is going to be scrambling to get their hands on them, whoever controls the most divine weapons will be able to dominate Doha" twisting her hand nervously she carried on "I think it would be best for the Demon and Radiant realm to join forces"
Seeing that Ren's face remained expressionless Sharlin hurried on "— an alliance, you know that the demons aren't as strong as they use to be, and the Demon realm also has the best resources, the largest deposit of aura stones, all the other races are already eyeing this realm — greedy to take it over"
Ren cocked his eyebrow "are you, humans, eying this realm as well" he said, emphasizing you.
"Of course not, Ren you know I would never allow that" Sharlin replied earnestly.
"So just how do you suggest that we go about this alliance" Ren had a damn good idea what this blasted woman was on about, but he wanted to see if she was stupid enough to go there.
Sharlin was excited that Ren was actually willing to listen to her, she had been worried that he would outright reject her idea, but Ren was an intelligent man, he would know just how dangerous the opening of Shoalin would be to the demons, this was her chance, she just knew it, finally she would get this man, he wouldn't be able to turn down her offer, not if he wanted the demons to survive.
Finally, after ten thousand years she would win, screw his truemate, even if she was in this world when his truemate found out that her mate had married another woman, she would never bond with him, and then Ren would be hers forever.
Relaxing slightly at her thoughts, Sharlin smiled winning at Ren "Everyone knows that our father's betrothed us when we were young, so we will just get married, once we are wed, I will get Searle to abdicate the throne, making me queen, and with you as my king, you will rule over both the Demon and Radiant realms — with the two realms combined none of the other realms would dare to invade the Demon Realm"
Once they ruled the Demon and Radiant realms, she would then convince Ren to subjugate the other realms, it would be easy to arrange things so that he would think they were a threat to the Demon Realm. Then they could rule over the whole of Doha together, she thought to herself privately.
This had always been her dream, she dreamed of it the night her father announced her betrothal to Ren, her and Ren dressed splendidly in golden robes, with crowns made out of aura stones, and countless people kneeling down in worship, as Ren tenderly looked into her eyes, telling her that she was now empress of Doha. She just knew that she had just experienced a prophecy dream, and now it was within her grasp — finally everything was about to come true, everything she had done, all those sacrifices was to make this dream true.
She just knew that once she married Ren he would love her, her dream had shown her that he would, she will never allow that bullshit truemate shit to interfere in her destiny. What could some unknown demon bitch offer this great man, only she was worthy to stand by his side, and only she deserved to be empress of Doha.
