Jayde had spent a year training with Green, and her fire magical abilities had improved substantially. Before she had been hesitant about using magic as it was against her previous life training, spending forty years reacting physically to any threat, it conditioned Jayde to react to any danger physically, now after a year's worth of training she had combined her magical abilities with her swordsmanship and martial arts.
With her foundation stable, and her new fighting abilities Jayde was feeling confident that she could now handle this strange new world that she had been transported to.
In the past year, Jayde and Green had become closer, with Jayde finally finding a mentor that she could trust, feeling slightly sad that their time together was at a close, Jayde bid farewell to Green, and made her way to the Pavilion to see Isha.
Isha was waiting for Jayde when she arrived. Checking her dantian, Isha was really satisfied that her foundation had stabilized, and that the threat to her future cultivation was over, smiling happily at her, he handed her a yellowish potion.
Looking at the bottle containing the potion Jayde asked "Is this the new healing potion for my dantian?" taking the bottle from Isha.
"Yes, now that your foundation has stabilized, you can take this and your qi pool will upgrade to bronze level. Once your qi pool is repaired, you can finally advance to First Level Knight class" Isha said with a satisfied look.
Asking to use the small room that she had used before for advancement, Isha agreed. After entering the room, Jayde sat down comfortably, taking a couple of deep breaths, she prepared herself mentally for the pain that she knew was about to happen, Jayde lifted the glass bottle and drank the foul tasting potion in one go.
As with the previous potion, the pain hit almost instantly, after bearing through the pain for hours, Jayde felt the familiar trembling in her dantian.
Boom!
Once she had recovered her strength, Jayde investigated the changes to her dantian, her qi pool had again nearly doubled, and the light gold color and deepened, although this time she was not as lucky as last time, her dantian only had a few drops on pure qi energy liquid, but Jayde wasn't too disappointed as she still had all that energy stored behind the seal that Isha had set up when she integrated the fire spirit.
Position herself the familiar lotus position, Jayde sent her consciousness into her body, and then sending out her magical senses, she accessed the area behind the seal.
The energy behind the seal was densely packed it swirled and flowed behind the seal, it looked similar to a raging river, but with a riot of colors, the colors of the semi-liquid didn't mix, but flowed separately, creating a beautiful liquid rainbow.
Imagining her magical power as small tendrils, Jayde sent them out into the different colour "rivers" and then she gently started to draw that energy and directed it into her dantian.
With her mind fully focused on her task, Jayde lost track of time, feeling neither tired or hungry she continued this until her dantian was once again filled to the brim with a pure golden liquid.
Feeling the barrier between Twelfth class and First Class Knight, Jayde spent a couple of hours slamming against the barrier, until it finally shattered.
As with her previous advancements, her advancement into First Class Knight again produced a vortex of qi energy that seeped into Jayde's pores, helping her through her advancement, after advancing to Beginner First Class Knight, Jayde carried on advancing pushing through Intermediate sub-class, until she reached Major sub-class, her ascent stopped just before she reached the breakthrough to Advanced sub-class First Rank Knight.
Opening her eyes, Jayde grinned she now was officially classified as a First Rank Fire Mage. While she still had quite a bit of energy stored in the sealed-off area in her dantian, Jayde wasn't in a hurry to advance, the past year had taught her the price of upgrading to fast. Leaving the small room, Jayde returned to the Pavilion Hall.
Seeing her advancement, Isha congratulated her.
"Well done Jayde, now that you have officially advanced to First Class Fire Mage, the inter-dimensional mission board has opened up, you should check and see if any missions are available for you, there is one other thing that I would like to discuss with you, now that you are finally a Knight, I think it would be a good idea for you to attend one of the magical academies"
Jayde didn't know what surprised her more, that the inter-dimensional mission board was now available or that Isha wanted her to go back to school. It had been over forty years since she had last attended school, and she was slighted weirded out thinking of going to school with a bunch of children.
While Jayde realized that her body was fourteen years old, but the soul inhabiting the body was a sixty-year-old woman, with a lifetime of experiences behind it.
