Instead of just standing around waiting for the armor to finish, Ben walked over to the Tailor structure. He opened the Tailor's menu and looked at Earth's medieval and Renaissance-era noble's capes. When he had an idea of what he wanted to do, Ben opened the Warehouse with his interface and put the black striped, plush red fur, that he had kept from the profound beast into the design menu.

Using the Tailor's custom design program he made the shape of a cape he liked and set the red fur to be used as the main material. The outer border of the red fur cape would have a two-inch black satin border. The inside part of the fur where the skin would hang against his back would also be covered entirely in black satin.

When Ben discovered that the program also had an embroidery option, he decided to make a crest like those of the noble families had used on Earth. He had seen a few crests on the buildings around Goldcrest so he figured they must be used in this world as well.

He designed a black dragon like those seen in RPG games. The furious looking black dragon was holding a black shield with a red border in its sharp looking talons.

It gave the impression it was staring you down and daring you to try and take the shield from its grip. Next, Ben added a set of bright red glowing eyes that made it all the more ominous looking

He centered the design between the black stripes in the area that would be between his lower shoulder blades when he wore it. When he was happy with the size, design, and location, he clicked create and after a couple of minutes, it was already added to the Warehouse.

Ben opened the Warehouse and found his armor and the cape were both in there so he moved them to his inventory while walking back to the keep.

On the third floor, he opened the System Store and bought a full length three sectioned standing mirrors that allowed you to see yourself from the front and sides for five gold coins and placed it along the wall near his bed.

Ben unequipped all his clothes except his underwear and began equipping the armor and his cape from his inventory.

When he looked up at the mirror, he saw that the armor had a polished appearance with a faint ice blue hue. Ben was reminded of the fantasy story knights who wore mirror polished plate armor.

The style of his armor was a bit different though, there weren't any bulky shoulder Pauldrons, bulky elbows, or the bulky knees. The armor had a sleek contoured design that almost looked like it was an extension of him.

The cape also came out beautiful as well. It looked like a cape that would be worn by a medieval king to him. He turned around and looked over his shoulder and got goosebumps when he saw how realistic the sinister black dragon on his back appeared.

For the next piece of the armor, he took out the helmet and strapped it on. When he looked out of peripheral vision, Ben was happy it wasn't obstructed. If someone or something charged at him from the side, he would see the attack coming. He shook his head around and found the helmet stayed in place without shifting around on his head.

Moving on from his helmet he tried on the gloves and boots and found they fit well and matched his armor perfectly. Now covered in Mythril from head to toe, he left the keep and sprinted around the inside of the walls.

The Mythril was so light it was hard for him to believe it actually had more protection than steel armor would. He could run at top speed and even used Whirlwind Maneuver which catapulted him to speeds close to sixty miles per hour.

The armor held in place without much movement and he found if he opened his stance and swung his arms away from his body while running that the armor didn't make any noise. The cloth soles on his boots also muffled his footsteps without using skills he could sprint along and not make that much sound.

Before he began to start sweating, he stopped running around and looked down at the torso armor he was wearing and used Analyze.

"Analyze!"

[Mythril Padded Full Body Armor]

[Defense]: 80

[Quality]: Legendary

[Bonuses]: reflects damage +8%

"Oooh! This is borderline OP right here! I am a little surprised that the quality is only Legendary, but that defense and bonus are sure incredible." Ben said to himself as he looked over the armor stats window.

*Ding!* [The analyzed armor could be considered upper-end Legendary. If the Armorer workshop were upgraded to level five. The armor would then become upper-end Mystic quality with increases to defense and bonuses.]

'So that's how it is. Oh well, this is great for now I need to save my gold coins. I can always make a better suit in the future.'

Next on his list, Ben wanted to create a new shield. He went with a kite shield shape that he could use on foot or mounted. He chose to use Mythril for the new shield, but he decided to change the Mythril metal's color. Exactly like the dragon holding a red and black shield on his cape, Ben made a kite shield with a black Mythril background and a red Mythril border in the same shape.

In the center of the shield's black background, he used the gold inlay option to recreate his Dragon crest with real gold. For the finishing touch, he used two large cut rubies for the dragon's eyes.

On the backside of the shield, he modeled a heavy duty handle which most shields have so it can be held in battle. There was one change, though that he made that had never been applied to a shield before. On the outside of the handle, he designed what looked like a locking clamp. This clamp was designed to be spring loaded with a small button on the side that would unlock the clamp once it had closed.

Ben finalized his shield design he began to make alterations to the left forearm piece of his new armor after it was deposited in the Warehouse. On the outside of the left forearm armor piece just above where a person would wear a wristwatch, he made a three inch long by one inch wide recessed channel.

Inside this channel, he molded a cylinder-shaped pin that ran down the center of the channel. The pin was designed so it would not be attached to the armor, but actually a part of it. This would strengthen the pin making difficult for it to snap.

When the changes were finished Ben opened the warehouse and removed his new shield, and equipped the modified left forearm armor. Ben pressed the spring-loaded shield clamp into the recessed slot on his left forearm armor.

*Click!*

He heard an audible click as the clamp grabbed the pin and attached the shield to his arm. Now it was possible for him to use the shield without even holding the handle and there was no way he could drop it or have it torn out of his grasp.

After testing out the spring-loaded coupler he found it would be possible to even hold a dagger or a short sword in his shield hand with this design.

'I could hold a dagger hidden behind this shield in a reverse grip and stab down into any exposed vital areas before the enemy even knew the strike was coming. I think most people would be so focused on my sword allowing me to give them a nasty surprise with a hidden weapon.' Ben contemplated as he tested the limits of the attached shield.

Ben pushed the small button on the shield coupler and it clicked again as the claw released. Happy with his armor design Ben thought about how he could also make a new sword to go along with his new armor.

With his mind made up, Ben walked across the street to the Weaponsmith structure. He now planned to make a new sword, but he wanted to make one that would be impressive not just an average steel sword.

As he scanned the Warehouse resources, he made a tough decision to sell off some of his stone blocks to the System Store. If he were to wait and sell them in Goldcrest City he would make triple the amount of gold coins.

Ben currently still had 283g and wanted to make sure he kept at least that much for when he went to the city so he could pay for his room, meals, and anything that might come up.

After a thinking it over he sold 500g worth of stone. With this 500g, he planned to upgrade the Weaponsmith to a Level 5 structure and he would still have the 283g for travel expenses. Gritting his teeth, Ben quickly upgraded the Weaponsmith while watching his 500g instantly vanish from his balance.

He sat down on his chair again and opened the Weaponsmith custom design program. At first, Ben considered making a Japanese katana he had always heard how they were such amazing swords.

When he viewed pictures of a katana in the design window, he began to have second thoughts. For one, he was already used to the straight blade of a longsword and the katana seemed to use a curved blade like a saber.

Another thing that bothered him was that the katana only had a single edge. He preferred the double-edged longsword blade that allowed slashing from a regular swing and a backhand swing without having to rotate the blade.

He continued examining swords until he came across the Oakeshott typology section which was created as a way to define and catalog the medieval sword based off the physical form. They had photos of all the different shapes and sizes of Medieval swords along with descriptions of their pros and cons.

The blade he chose from the different styles shown was the XVI type that looked like a Regular longsword with an acute reinforced point that made it equally effective for thrusting.

Ben used Mythril for the sword blade and the crossguard. As for the grip of the sword, he chose to go with a braided wire wrapped oval shaped hilt. Wanting the hilt to match the blade he chose to use real gold for the braided wire. Even though gold stood out against the shiny icy blue metal, he had a plan to tie it all together with the inlaid option.

For the pommel of the sword, Ben decided to use the core he had saved from the red furred beast. The profound beast core was encased in a thin layer of gold and attached as a pommel.

He recalled that he had the beast's fang which had been embedded in his chain-mail and used the design program to cut the fang in two pieces and sharpen one end on each piece to a point. The two pieces of the pointed fang were attached to the ends of his cross guard.

If an enemy happens to move in close to swing his sword he could always use the pointed fangs on the crossguard as weapons. If he held the sword point up toward the sky and threw a punch while holding the sword hilt the creatures attached fang on the end of the crossguard would stab the enemy.

When he was done with designing all the sword parts, Ben used the gold inlaid option to inlay real gold patterns across the length of the blade making it look like a collector's sword.

Ben would need a way to carry this beautiful new sword so he began to design a scabbard for it. Once again using Mythril Ben made a straight, thin scabbard and used the gold inlay option to put the same gold pattern the sword blade had down the outside of the scabbard.

'All I need now is a way to carry this sword and scabbard.'

Ben packed away his chair and went back to the Armorer to use the leather belts and straps tool. This tool would normally be used to make straps used to attach armor but Ben had a different use in mind.

To carry his scabbard he fashioned a thick black leather belt with a red double-tongued buckle with the Armorer strap tool. The belt was made thin enough to fit through the strap slot on the newly designed scabbard.

As an afterthought, Ben also made a smaller matching belt that would wrap around his thigh and hold the lower section of his scabbard snugly in place. This way when Ben was running around or fighting the scabbard wouldn't be swinging around and getting in his way.

Ben equipped the belt, sword, scabbard, and leg strap from his inventory and slid the Mythril sword out of the scabbard and was shocked at how beautiful it looked.

The gold inlaid patterns across the shiny ice blue metal and the braided gold wire wrapped around the hilt made it look like a sword that a king would use for ceremonies or bestowing a knighthood. There was also the gold encased beast core that also accented the other gold highlights.

Unable to hold back, he used his Analyze skill on his sword to check the stats.

"Analyze!"

[Hemic Longsword of Life Stealing]

By combining the Hemic's core with this sword you have added its

ability to survive off of other creatures by feeding on their life essence.

[Attack Damage]: 65-70

[Quality]: Mythical

[Bonuses]: +35% Chance to steal life from the enemy and give it to the wielder.

Ben nearly dropped the sword from his shaking hand when he saw the stats on it.

'Oh my god, is this a rare loot drop for some final boss!? This sword is actually using that profound cat's abilities!'

'I just thought it would be cool to add the core as a pommel and never expected these results!'

'Wait a minute...back when I first arrived here I had 9 in vitality which would have given me 90 hit points. If I were to be hit by this sword back then with this attack damage and life stealing wouldn't a simple slash just about one-hit kill me?'

Ben broke out in a cold sweat when he thought about the "what-ifs" related to his new sword.

____________________

Hemic is the name for the cat-like creature that Ben had fought over the fruit in the forest. When he reviewed the knowledge he had of the beast it seemed the Hemic could drain the life essence through the blood of its prey. It would also eat meat if it killed something, but its main source of substance was life essence.

Since the profound beast's core which was like a human's dantain was now attached to his sword it seemed to borrow the life stealing cultivation technique from the Hemic's core.

This special life stealing ability was a part of the creature's cultivation and was handed down through their bloodlines. Now it was added on to Ben's new sword making it even more deadly.
