My heart raced like lightning as I desperately sprinted through bushes and jumped across the roots of trees. A vine suddenly grabbed one of my metallic arms, twisting it so it faced a horrifyingly weird angle. I quickly chopped off the vine with my razor sharp fingers, quickly scrambling away. From behind, I heard a whistle pierce the air before a fierce pain, worse then the pain in my arm, stabbed into my back.

I growled in pain as I jumped to the right, slamming into a puddle of mud. My cheeks were scraped by the thorns of the mud berries that hid inside the water. A spear flew past where I was a split second ago, hitting the trunk of a tree. Suddenly, the tree's branches morphed like tentacles, grabbing the spear from its trunk before throwing the spear back to its owner.

A loud thump could be heard before silence engulfed the jungle.

I gasped for breath as I hurriedly sat up, pushing myself further away from the Cursed Tree.

The tree's branches slowly drew back, growing smaller and smaller until it looked like normal branches once more.

How did I get here?

Oh right.

It was because of the Creator's Prophecy.

Suddenly, a shrill shriek filled the jungle at a deafening volume, withering fragile flowers and bushes and angering more than one Cursed Tree.

Suddenly a cold hand grasped my shoulder as an emotionless voice whispered my name.

"Calamitis."

1 Week and 6 Days Ago

I woke up with my heart pounding against my rib cage. I couldn't help but shiver even though I was covered in sweat.

It was those strange dreams again. I thought they'd disappear since I'm already in Forgoe.

I guess not.

I checked to see if Miceter was still asleep. Luckily I hadn't woken him up. If I had, I would no doubt worry Miceter. Right now, I can't think of an excuse if I had woken him up.

The sun was slowly crawling its way up the horizon, marking the start of a new day.

It took Miceter a while to wake up from his happy dreams. I didn't wake him up earlier because of the way he had mumbled in his sleep about chocolate and sports. I chuckled once or twice because of how silly it was.

Miceter stretched before saying: "I'm hungry."
