A surprised expression flashed over the girl's face. While it did not escape Emma's vision, she did not know the reason for said expression. Idan was currently at the part where he stole Jack's fruit. He told her how he observed the way the group entered the clearing, described how the storm came and the tree raised a barrier. Recounted how the group discussed about the tree, its fruits, and their wonderful effect.
While listening to Idan, the girl was continuously moving her head around. From Emma's perspective, the girl was trying to get a view of the surroundings. In her case through her other senses. Emma was pretty sure the girl was blind. And the girls' further actions only increased her confidence in her assumption.
The very first thing Idan "ordered" her to do was to act blind. while he did like some of the humans, especially the female one, that did not mean he would trust them just like this. In his own view, his previous actions were akin to suicide. Just jumping into the lap of a human he meet like 5 minutes ago wasn't really something he should do. His only assurance was the "pledge" and the tree itself. While he personally doubted that the tree could react fast enough to save him should they really try to kill him. He was at least sure that they would not risk their life just to kill him, a measly Stage 4 squirrel which is basically useless to them.
Based on these "facts" he tried to approach them as a "slightly more intelligent" squirrel so they would let their guard down a bit. Which did not work. During the whole cuddling thing, Emma's hands were always near his neck. No sign of letting her guard down. But since he did not approach them to fight it did not matter.
Based on the information he got they were actually searching for his contractor. So it is safe to assume that they should be careful. Hiding some cards would be good. Because of these assumptions Idan instantly told his contractor to suppress her energy and make it look like she's blind. Her dim eyes help a lot with that. Despite their beauty, everybody would think she's blind. Aside from people with special skills, of course.
Finishing his explanation, he motions for her to take over. Someone has to establish contact and since he can't speak their language he would be hard pressed to do so.
Glancing downward while trying to avoid looking at Emma directly, she gives the System a command.

Putting it in the back of her mind, Emma once again tells the girl to come down.
Taking it to heart the girl slowly jump from branch to branch, swiftly reaching the ground. Despite her being "blind" her sense of orientation is perfect.
Upon arriving at the ground, the girl keeps herself in the immediate perimeter of the tree.
Her caution intensifies the moment she touches the ground. The girl frequently looks around and slowly nears Emma's position.
Arriving in front of Emma she raises her head and stares at her cheek. Despite the girl not looking into her eyes, Emma feels like the girl is "watching" her.
Getting on to her knees, Emma lowers her height to look at the girl from her perspective.
Checking the girl's body for anything: wounds, birthmarks or something similar Emma notices her well-built body. While she does have nice muscles and skin, she looks slightly low on fat.
The reasons are her fast growth as well as the rapid development of muscles.
Emma, obviously, does not know about this and thinks that the girl had been abandoned in the forest or has lost her group/parents. Seeing her standing in front of her without clothes and not feeling cold or ashamed, her guess of the girl being abandoned intensifies. She would know about clothes if she had been part of a family or group before.
Thinking about where to get some clothes she remembers the clothes she wanted to gift her niece. She is also 10 years old and her clothes should fit the girl. Moving her hand to her spatial ring she wills for a dress to appear and slowly drags her away. In her hands, the hem of a dress appears.
The girl seems shocked. From Emma's perspective, the girl seems to notice something appearing, but the girl sees how something appeared out of nothing.
Instantly ordering the system for information she receives a plethora of options.
Spatial Rings, Pouches, Boxes, suitcases, Necklaces and a lot more.
It appears that, in theory, you can make anything a spatial object. The difficulty arises with the material, space you wish for and the method of producing it.
Rings are the easiest as you can use very little material to make a ring and engrave runes in-and outside the ring. Space will be some square meters but for the average adventure party, it is a necessary object.
Seeing the look on the girl's face Emma smiles. She can vividly remember her own reaction when she first saw a spatial storage. Her own is a family heirloom and can store an amazing 35 cubic meters of objects. No one aside from her, her parents and her team know about this as a spatial ring with up to 15 m³ is almost common for adventurers of their level.
But there is a massive increase in difficulty once you reach 20 m³.
Space will resist the constraint put on it. You don't rip out space and seal it. You carve the runes, infuse energy and then simulate the space around you to become a void. This void will be sucked into the ring and kept there to simulate a space.
The transfer through the runes will calm the void and keep it stabilized. At 20 m³ it is different. New runes and stronger energy are needed. A space mage will have to simulate the space and create a void as otherwise the void will either explode or expand. In both cases, destruction is the only outcome.
Focusing back on the dress she checked its size. It was an almost perfect fit. Only the waistline was slightly off. The dress is a light green with a similar color to the girl's eyes. Emma felt lucky that she decided to buy a green dress. It really suits the girl.
The bottom of the skirt ends into a knee-high skirt with small frills. Nothing pompous or fancy. The dress is held by shoulder straps that are sewed into the dress.
All in all, it is a green one-piece dress with small frills and a very calm atmosphere to it. Very suiting for the forest and the calm girl with green eyes.
When Emma was about to help the girl into the dress an annoying voice resounded,
"EMMA! What is taking you so long?"
And around the tree, Jack strolled into the picture. Seeing Emma he opens his mouth only to be slack-jawed. A beautiful girl, albeit being small is standing in the nude. Normally Jack doesn't have anything for small girls, to the extent of it being disgusted, but...damn...that girl is fine!
He cannot further his thoughts. An orb of fire strikes towards his chest and he hurriedly dodges only to hear Emma's voice.
"DON'T YOU DARE TURN AROUND! If you aren't gone in the next second I'll castrate you!"
Not wanting to anger Emma further Jack hurriedly runs back to the others. Constantly thinking about who that girl could have been.
