An explosion of flavor.

First, a crunchy exterior. The taste of the thoroughly roasted skin with its aroma of carboned skin soaked in fat.

Second, the meat below. Juices splash all over her tongue and her mouth. Hot and sizzling, their taste burns into her gustative nerves.

Third, the actual meat. Tender easily ripped apart. No need for strength just a small movement of the tongue and the meat slides of the bone.

The smell! While the taste of the meat spreads the smell works its way into her nasal cavity.

Mixed it becomes an explosion of flavor.

But it is weird. Meat might be tasty but normally it should be seasoned with spices and herbs to achieve such a good taste. The meat her ancestor from Earth ate needed to be marinated or cooked with such spices. Stuff like Paprika, Curry, Chili, and other stuff.

Thinking about it it should be related to the fact that these animals did not cultivate or strengthen themselves. While she did not know how this came to be it must be this way. According to the other memories meat is supposed to taste like this.

Now the next question is...are there spices in this world? Together with such exquisite meat and some good spices, the recipes from earth would be raised to a whole other level. Way above what any gourmet from earth ever tasted or could hope to!

Lost in thoughts the hungry girl does not notice that she finished her meat. Mentally absent she reached for another leg. Taking it and biting into it her face morphs into a splendid smile. A smile more often seen on children when they get their favorite food. When they get a present or are generally happy.

But it is to be expected. Theoretically, she is not even a full 2 days old. So some childlike expression should be allowed.

Eating and eating trying to get as much of the meat as possible she automatically rotates her energy. Meat and the energy engrained into it are very important for physical cultivation. And very enjoyable. Cultivating while eating is certainly a method not many would dislike.

Slowly the energy leaves the meat and integrates into her bloodstream. From there it goes the usual way. To the heart, into the veins, into the limbs into the dantian and back to the heart and into the core.

Once again minutes pass and turn into half an hour. Idan and the girl are still completely focused on eating. In between, she did cut off some more meat to roast. Not forgetting to turn the meat for it to not get black they have the stereotypical barbeque. Sadly without the sauce.

Getting back to the important topic.

Considering that the energy is from a third Stage lizard the energy is not very strong. It is more of a basic supplement. In such cases the difference is quantity. eating the meat of a genuine dragon may yield massive benefits in a short-term but those boosts and increases would not matter in the long run. They may spare you from a month of cultivation.

A month seems like nothing but you have to consider! A dragon is one of the strongest beasts in this world. The hunter must be stronger than the dragon to guarantee a kill without himself dying or getting gravely injured. Furthermore, who would give something such as dragon meat to their children?!

Dragon meat contains the energy a dragon, an original beast, accumulated throughout its long lifespan, which can last some thousands of years. Such potent energy would destroy the body of anyone below the level of Martial Elder and would cripple or inhibit the cultivation of anyone below the stage of Exalted Ancestor.

And once you arrive at the level of Exalted Ancestor the dragon meat would not simply signify one month of cultivation. This one month of cultivation with the energy of a dragon in relation to its purity could be translated into full force cultivation for almost one and a half year.

Now how does this relate to one month of cultivation? Full force cultivation represents a method of guiding your energy through your pathways while forcefully keeping them from breaking. This does raise your cultivation tremendously but it consumes Life Force and damages your meridians and over time cripples your ability to cultivate.

Afterward, your body will deteriorate and slowly lose strength. You can imagine what one and a half year of such cultivation can achieve.

We lost focus again! Over on Idan's side, the situation looked grim. He had only eaten two portions of the meat while his "f(r)iendly" companion ate three. He had just grabbed his third piece when she tried to take her fourth one.

"Hey! That's mine!", Idan had to interfere. How could she snatch what belonged to him!

"...", looking confused, she stopped her hand while sending a questioning look at Idan.

"You ought to remember! when you almost hit me with that kick you agreed to give me an extra portion of meat."

(Luckily she did not realize that it was meant to be a joke)

Trying to remember what happened, her face darkened. Clicking her tongue she could only leave the meat to Idan and get some from the other corpses. Throwing a few glances back she saw how Idan protectively inched closer to his prize.

After eating the third stage meat she really did not want to eat the other lizards but considering that they could help her, despite the help being minimal she reluctantly prepared some for her to eat.

While roasting the "inferior" meat they started to talk. They had to improve. Something that was vividly showing during their short battle.

Our protagonist had a plan: She would continue on strengthening her body while training herself in CQC and Self-Defense. She would use them to set her foundation and once she could access the "real" martial arts she would be able to start her real training. Now was the perfect time for her to prepare for that.

Idan on the other side had it harder. There were no techniques designed for flying squirrels. or perhaps there were but she could not find any in the information she could access. And she honestly doubted that a technique for flying squirrels would be locked away.

Trying to come up with an idea while eating they had to admit that they could not find any. Training as a human is relatively easy but as a squirrel...his original strength would have peaked at the third stage. Now he's at the fourth stage with the slumbering potential to go further. After being under the influence of stony and the transformation of a Protoss's innate ability, in this case: her claws, he realized his mutation.

He was able to integrate energy and Qi! He always subconsciously absorbed some energy from the surroundings which, over time, strengthened his body with an unknown focus on his brain. Now the problem is that he doesn't know how to control it. And even if...he still doesn't know how to train himself.

The only real option is to get a s*hit ton of combat experience. Fight and fight and fight and fight till every possible maneuver moment and attacking capability that his body offers is engrained into his mind, allowing him to harness them at the right moment.

Something like this would take time. A lot of time, determination and the willpower to keep it up. At some point, he would have enough practical knowledge to create a fighting style and he could then, based on personal research, create combat techniques and other applications.

The future looked bleak for him. Seeing as they were unable to find a positive conclusion they decided to first have him focus on body tempering. Perhaps something will change or an opportunity arises for Idan to change his fate.

At this point, any word further would be wasted.

And while they were busy thinking about the future training, they still had to contemplate on what to do now.
