Contrary to Amon's doubts, the general Denaire referred accepted their help with welcoming arms. He thought the general would ask them some questions, but no.

Seeing the look of confusion on the Crown Prince's place, Hiro chuckled, "Don't worry. Denaire told me everything about you all. I know you are here to help. You won't betray us, won't you?"

Amon looked at the general in the eye and said with a look full of determination, "Never."

Hiro nodded. "Then, let's kick some ass."

Amon was baffled. In his confusion, he unconsciously grabbed the general's cape. Hiro stopped in his tracks and looked back at the Crown Prince, his face full of amusement, "What?"

Amon retracted his hands in embarrassment. "I'm sorry," he shyly said. "But, aren't you giving us any time to understand what your strategy is?"

Amon laughed gleefully, "No, our only strategy is only one: Attack."

Amon furrowed his brows even more, not comprehending the thinking process of this so-called general.

The general noticed it and opted to let them realize it. "Look at them, they are in complete chaos."

As soon as Amon and his companions looked at where the general pointed, they noticed that the enemy's troops were running around without the proper formation. Their leaders too were in frenzy, as if there wasn't a war at hand.

Hiro seeing the look of yet another confusion, proceeded to explain the situation, "This is the courtesy of Damien's mind-controlling prowess and Denaire's magical boost. As they are just like running ducks there, we might as well use that to our advantage. So, give it your all and attack. I shall command otherwise when something goes amiss."

Amon quickly understood. He watched the general turn his back and heard him issue commands to attack the crazy soldiers, but not to kill them, just to incapacitate. He believed that not all of them wanted to do this; they were all under orders anyway.

Amon looked back at his friends, his people. He smiled at them, the first warm smiled he gave since his return.

"Onirons! This is the moment we have all been waiting for. We are here to avenge our fallen comrades, our fallen kingdom! Rise and take flight! We will fight and bring back what is ours!"

The Onirons cheered and as soon as Amon raised his arm forward – a sign for attack – everyone unleashed their powerful spells and weapons and made their way towards the enemies' disoriented formation.

Denaire was sweetly sleeping when she felt a rough hand caress her face. She leaned into the touch and felt its comforting warmth. She vaguely heard him sigh contentedly and kissed her forehead lovingly.

When the feeling of warmth was gone from her face, she frowned and reached for it again. The man chuckled at the girl's childish antics. But he still reached his hand toward her. She guide his hand towards her cheeks and snuggled her face in it.

The man, probably feeling tired of kneeling in front of her – added to the fact that he was from fighting – decided to lay beside her. He moved her a little to the side to give him a little space. He laid down and put his arms around her. At that gesture, her eyes fluttered open. She was met with a pair of fiery, red eyes.

She smiled warmly and said, "Hiro?"

"Yes it's me. How was your sleep?"

Denaire snuggled close to his chest to inhale his newly-bathed but manly scent. "Very good."

"Good," he ruffled Denaire's hair and kissed the top of her head.

Denaire looked up at him again and asked, "Have you slept yet?"

Hiro smiled, his eyes almost forming crescents. "Silly. Don't think about me. I'm fine."

"How can I not think about you?! You who have risked everything for the sake of me! You have always been there to help me and support me! You who have loved me even if I become one of your country's enemy! I will always think about you!"

Denaire saw that Hiro's ears were red. It fueled her worry more. "And what happened to your ear? Why is it so red? Did someone try to hurt it?"

Denaire reached to touch his right ear, but her approaching hand was stopped by Hiro's. He pulled her hands toward his mouth and kissed it affectionately.

"It's because of you." His voice turned rough and raspy, barely heard.

"Me?" Denaire breathed out.

In answer, Hiro captured Denaire's soft lips and kissed her passionately. Denaire was caught off guard that she was stiff for a moment. But she regained her senses and kissed Hiro back.

After a flurry of hot kisses, they both stopped, realizing the severity if they continued in a tent surrounded by too many people. Even if Denaire could make it soundproof or what, they couldn't risk taking chances.

"So," Hiro broke the silence. "What do you intend to do? Amon would be bound to find out about us. I don't want to pressure you but – "

"I know," Denaire replied. "Sooner or later, I would have to say it to him before somebody else does. I hope he would accept it."

"When do you intend to tell him?"

Denaire contemplated a bit and said, "I wanted to tell him now. If I tell him after all of this, I fear that he will misunderstand it and think that I used him to roll out my plans. So yes, I have to tell him now so that I would know if I still have a country to return back to after this."

Hiro admired his love's courage. He couldn't help but kiss her again more passionately.

When they both caught their breaths, Hiro said, "Whatever you do, I will be here to support you."

Denaire smiled at him gratefully. "Thank you. And I want to go talk to them now."

Hiro nodded. He helped Denaire get up and prepare for a meeting. And together they went out to meet Denaire's beloved Onirons.
