Jayne continued, "Some relationships sure are fated… Irrespective of the challenges of time and space....Look at us, I'm an Indian, my husband is British… There was absolutely no chance for us to meet... yet we did meet though the circumstances in which we met were dangerous....It's like, the entire universe conspired for us to meet...."
Virat hissed, "Universe? Conspiracy?" He let out a bitter laugh! "What nonsense are you sprouting Maya? Just because you changed your name from Maya to Jayne, doesn't mean even our love has changed." His eyes were wet unknowingly.
Ronnie added, "Sure our love story is messy. One which was pretty much disastrous. It would've ended before it would've even begun… but then, like my wife said, we were destined to be together.. I love our story.. I love my wife the most!"
Virat retorted, "Impossible! It's me who's loving her from the past four years. There's no way you can love her more than me!" He could feel his anger spreading through him like wild fire each time they spoke something.
The audience erupted into a thunderous applause, shrieked and cheered for the couple while they got down the dias.
Jayne wanted to use the restroom. So, she excused herself and walked out.
At the same time, Sanvi saw Maya walking out. Virat was lost deep in thought. He didn't pay attention to it. Sanvi very quietly sneaked out from there and followed Maya all the way to the restroom. Even Virat didn't realise them walking out.
On the way, a couple of them wished Jayne for her fabulous singing. She humbly thanked each one and walked towards the restroom.
The restrooms were next to the pool area. Probably it was the closing time of the pool area. Hence, everybody was asked to leave and so everybody was leaving.
When Jayne was washing her hands, Sanvi spoke to her, "Hello M-M-a-Madam!"
Jayne couldn't recognise her for obvious reasons. She merely said "Hey!"
Sanvi was perplexed that Maya couldn't recognise her. She thought, 'Probably the fame and wealth she's suddenly got as Ronnie Roy's wife has gotten into her bones that she's totally left behind her past. Unfaithful!!!" She cursed in her mind.
Nevertheless, she complimented Maya for her singing."Madam, you've such a lovely voice. Loved your singing! It was great!"
Jayne humbly replied, "Thank you!" just like she told the others and left.
"She's still the same. So damn fake by being humble with her words and actions. That's how Virat fell for her and now even Ronnie Roy has fallen head over heels in love with her! She's such a manipulative woman, I have no words to describe!" Sanvi continued to curse her while clenching her fists.
But she had other plans. She followed Maya out. By then the pool area was totally cleared except for some of them who came to use the restroom. Sensing that nobody was around, Sanvi tailed behind Maya while she was walking along the poolside over to the party area.
At one point she peeked to her right and then to her left before she pushed Maya into the pool and very tactfully escaped behind the tree cover.
Plop fell Jayne into the pool!
The fall was so natural that even Jayne herself thought she slipped into the pool. She was struggling hard to breathe. Luckily the waters of the pool was warmed up for the previous swimmers. Else, it'd be so cold by now that she'd have been frozen to death already. With nobody to help Jayne, each second of her stay in the waters was pulling her closer to suffocation and death.
Sanvi very well knew that Maya didn't know how to swim. She deliberately pushed her into the waters, "I really hope you die out of suffocation Maya. Your presence will do no good to me or Virat. Till now everything was great. I'd even thought of confessing my love for Virat tonight. But like always you have always been the spoiler. Your sudden arrival has poured water over all my efforts of the past few days. Please Maya! Get away from us! Now that we're in the same city, we will have to meet often, which I don't want. The only solution for me is, I wish you die sooner!"
After which she didn't stay there any longer. She silently sneaked back into the party hall and sat beside Virat like nothing happened.
Let alone others, even Virat himself didn't realise that Sanvi had sneaked out a while ago and had committed such a horrendous crime without leaving behind a single clue.
Ronnie kept glancing at the door when Jayne didn't return for so long. For some strange reason he felt his right eye twitching for the second time on the same day. He frowned, 'What's taking you so long Jayne? Why aren't you here?'
In order to not scare his parents, he quietly got up and came out towards the washroom area in search of his wife.
