Jayne was motionless. She was so petrified that she wasn't talking or even crying. "Jayne! Jayne! Let's leave. The longer we stay here, it'll be more disturbing. You won't be able to take it any longer. I'll make you sit in the Jeep and go check with Nuru okay." Ronnie was about to carry her back into the Jeep when she wasn't responding. The horrific scenes unfolding before them was too much to handle.

Just then she wailed out her tears. "Brother Nuru! I want to see him. I won't go until I see him. Please even I want to come with you Ronnie don't say no." She cried and pleaded to him.

"But it's very unsafe to go there now. Plus with so many casualties around, you won't be able to manage this. Remember even you are hurt and haven't recovered fully. Fully aware of the danger lurking around us, I can't put your life at stake by taking you there." Ronnie calmly explained.

Jayne was hesitant. She didn't want to give up.

Just then a policeman came towards them and asked. "Sir and Ma'am why are you waiting here? We need to clear this area. Please leave."

Jayne immediately responded. "Sir, my brother's winter wear shop there was harmed in this blast. Can you please let us check on my brother and his wife?" she pleaded and cried before him.

"Sorry Ma'am. Around six to eight shops there have been fully burnt and so have the inmates. It'll take time for us to get inside and recover their bodies. Please leave your contact details with us. We'll contact you once we are done with the rescue operations." The policeman told the procedure dutifully.

"We fully understand sir. We'll cooperate with you." Ronnie said to the policeman.

Jayne was hesitant to leave the area. Ronnie dragged her from there. Jayne was constantly remembering the last scene where Da Nuru and his wife were standing outside the shop and waving goodbyes to them. Thinking of which her crying became even more.

"Ronnie I owe them a lot. They've saved my life. I've to make sure that they are safe. How can I leave them all alone at such a critical moment? As of now, they're my only family. The only ones I know right now. Without even them, what would I do Ronnie?" Jayne was still crying.

Ronnie heaved out a long sigh and said, "Jayne I understand what you are feeling right now. But at such circumstances, standard operating procedures have to be followed. Okay how about this? let's go back to the Army headquarters and ask the General to let us extend our stay here until we find about Nuru. I'll inform my Assistant to flow back here. Will that be okay?"

"That's better. I'll agree with your plan. Let's go to the Army headquarters and talk to the General about this. I'm sure General will have a way out to help us." Jayne replied with hopes written all over her face.

The one who was the most relieved was the subordinate, 'Finally they agreed to leave from here. It was my responsibility to protect them. If something happened to them, General would've cut me into pieces for sure. Thank heavens!' He sighed inwardly.

"Sir and Ma'am please get in. We'll drive back then." The subordinate immediately offered.

Unwillingly, Jayne was about to step inside the jeep when she suddenly heard a voice from behind them.
