I took out my wings, "Before you say anything, I'm not flying. They're sore from all the work I've been doing. I'm just stretching them." Bill looked at me, then opened his phone, "I wasn't going to say anything." He looked at his screen and started typing something on it. "What's going on?"

"I'm not sure, she said she read something and it might be useful to us." I looked at the screen, "Were you going to say anything about the fact her arm is screwed up?"

"Eventually. Chasan said you might be able to help with it, I'd have to tell you eventually."

We kept walking for a few more minutes in complete silence. I don't know what Bill was thinking about, but I was having second thoughts about what I did. I killed someone. Sure, he almost killed Scorpio and Bill, and I've done bad things before, but did I have to? Surely Naomi could've, or Bill could've finished his strike. I guess I felt like I didn't have much of a choice. He attempted to kill Naomi all those years ago, and he was going to kill all four of us if we didn't do something. "Do you remember when we met?" I looked up, "What?"

"Just answer the question, do you remember when we met?" I thought about it for a second, "Yeah, I had been in town for two days and barely had eaten, I was attempting to hold up a restaurant for food, but you stopped me. Instead of turning me into the police, you made an excuse and took me with you." He nodded, "Correct."

"And why exactly are you asking this?" He scratched the back of his head, "I dunno, whatever Chasan was on about seemed pretty important, and I was just thinking about some, events, that have happened. That was the first that came to mind." Why? Of all the things, why that? "A-Are you blushing?"

"W-what?! No!" He started laughing, "Sure, whatever you say." He turned around, "Did you hear that?" I looked around, "Hear what?" He put his hand on the handle of his sword, "It sounded like someone in the bushes." I looked around, "It's too dark to see anything. It was probably just the wind." I pulled his hand away, "Maybe. We should stay alert just in case." I looked around, then we kept walking.

When we got to our dorm, Scorpio was lying on her bed. Brit walked over to us, "She's been out for around 3 minutes. I've tried to wake her up, but she lost a lot of blood from whatever you guys did." I ran over to her. "Where's the wound?" Bill sat next to her and pulled up her sleeve. Under it was a shoddily put together bandage that fell off when I moved her arm. "Here goes nothing." I whispered to myself. I put my hand over the wound, I could feel the heat coming from the blood, like standing next to a microwave. Slowly, the flesh began to mend itself. I started to sweat. I kept going, the skin starting to fuse back into one sheet. I started getting light headed. "Almost th-" my body went numb. I couldn't move. I was lying on the ground.

I woke up to Bill and Scorpio sitting next to me. "Well, did someone need a power nap?"

"Hey, you know I haven't done this in a while. It's tiring." Scorpio took off her eye-patch and opened the eyelid that was under it. I didn't feel anything. I tried speaking, but I couldn't. "She overloaded herself." She closed her eyelid, "Makes sense. I'm pretty sure if I had decided to move my arm a little more during that fight it would've fallen off." I looked over to her arm. There was still a scar there, but it didn't look nearly as bad as it did before. "What time is it?" Bill looked around, "Where'd the clock go?" Scorpio shrugged, "I dunno. Brit?" The cat girl was fast asleep. She was purring deeply, "You know, when she purrs like that it almost makes you forget she's a fuckass who throws a fit whenever she doesn't get her way. And the clock's under her." Surely enough, poking from underneath her was a disc with the numbers 8 and 9 inscribed on the edge and hands ticking away. Bill glared at the display, "Is someone going to grab that, or?"

"Nah, I think we're all too tired for that." Scorpio and Bill nodded in agreement.

I shot up. I wasn't anywhere I recognized. I looked down. I was standing in a large patch of grass, surrounded by hills and a mountain. I started to walk forward. I felt something wet cover my foot. I looked down to see a river. I tried to pull out, but my foot was stuck. After a good 30 seconds, I realized I was being pulled in. I tried to yell in protest, or say something, but nothing came out. The water engulfed my body, my face stung like I was being harassed by three hives worth of bees. I kept descending until I fell out onto solid ground. I got up, gasping for air. I was surrounded by blue crystal structures. From behind one of them, a man appeared. He had long, blonde hair, just like mine. His eyes were icy blue, and his jawline was so sharp he could probably cut through a building with it. He was well built, looking like an Aryan Arnold Schwarzenegger. He was wearing a strange combination of a toga and a trench coat, with a white t-shirt under it. He walked closer to me, until he was almost right in my face. "You've grown up so much." He touched his hand to the side of my face, "You share so much with me too." He moved his hand toward my wing, "My, my, I have to say you've developed nicely. I'd almost consider you a threat." The man stepped back, "Oh! Where are my manners? My name is Lucifer. No last names, no titles, just, Lucifer." He pulled out a locket, "And you, are Jamie Elise Charleston, daughter of Sasha Anne Charleston and a father you never knew." He spun on his heel, before grabbing a picture frame from nowhere, "Well, until now, that is." He held up the picture. I recognized it. It was one of the last pictures I had of my mother. He unfolded a small part of it, "And now," I looked at it, "We see who he is." It was a perfect, one to one, figure of Lucifer. "That's right, say hello to daddy."

I shot up, my blanket drenched in sweat. My breathing was heavy. I looked around. Bill and Scorpio were now fast asleep, Bill murmuring something, but I didn't know what it was. I laid back down, and closed my eyes. Repeating, "It's just a dream", in my head.
