Battle with the Monsters and the Legendary Wolf

Part 1/2

The next day, the Endaria troops—including Reidrick and Sara—were going on attack towards the Dranta. The Garnelda troops who had already occupied Dranta castle were moving their shoulders towards Endaria.

The vast plain in Dranta would apparently become where the decisive battle takes place.

“We’ll definitely win! I promised Meina that I’d return safely.”

Kite who was to act with Reidrick said with a smile.

“I’m used to fighting with monsters, so it will be alright.”

“Yeah, let’s make the best of the results of our daily practice, and let’s fight to our heart’s content!”

“Ou!”

Although they were behaving enthusiastically, Kite was also very anxious. He was leaving his pregnant wife alone to go into a battle. Moreover, if they were to lose, Endaria and his beloved wife would be trampled down.

After all, their enemy was a country who used the underhanded method of using monsters.

Reidrick’s body felt as if it was being roasted by the swirling fury.

(How dare they try to attack my precious Endaria using such wicked move. I’m going to teach them a lesson!)

He was a descendant of the golden wolf emperor.

He didn’t realize it himself, but when a crisis approached Endaria, the power inside of him was awakened.

Kite was nervous as it was near the war time, but he noticed his childhood friend’s obviously powered up condition and looked at him at a glance.

(Is there something wrong with my eyes? I feel like there’s something leaking out of Rei’s body…I wonder why am I seeing something sparkling?)

“Kite, what’s the matter?”

“Ah, uhm, Rei is…brimming with the spirit of winning?”

“Isn’t it obvious?”

Kite felt like he was having a goosebump all over his body when he looked at Reidrick’s ferocious smile. The horse that he steered had a slip of its legs.

His golden eyes were so sparkling, as if they emitted light.

Indeed, he was unmistakably the king, the fierce animal that was standing before its prey.

(What is with this impressive appeal?!…Or rather, I’m glad that I’m in the Endaria troops! Meeting an enemy like him would be too frightening…he might win. We might win. No, we will win, we will unmistakably win!)

“Let’s sweep those foolish monsters and return to our country. And then, then…”

‘Let’s get lucky and be one with Sara!’ Reidrick contained those words in his heart, so that Kite’s trust in him not be harmed.

Whether Reidrick’s radiance was due to the god’s blessing or if it was due to his sheer sexual desire—only god knows.

The human troops in Garnelda’s army were also large, but the number of the monsters were more than that, and at a first glance, their troops was twice the size of Endaria’s.

In addition to the living monsters, there were also monsters turned into zombies that were manipulated by the necromancers, and looking at them could break others’ hearts.

“Archers, go forward!”

It was as Mianna predicted.

The Garnelda troops started their attack by using the flying monsters as soon as they confronted each other.

“Shoot!”

Silver lights were launched from the ground, piercing the monsters flying in the sky, that were located on the opposite side of the Endaria troops.

Compared to the gigantic monsters, each of the silver arrow was way too feeble, however…

“What’s with the arrows?!”

The monsters’ bodies were melting as if they were butter, with the arrows as the center.

The wyvers, the chimeras, and the gargoyles had large holes opening up in their bodies, and they were writhing in pain as they had no other choices than to melt, and eventually they disappeared without even leaving a single dust.

Many monsters were rushing on attack from the sky, but they were shot down one after another, then disappeared. The archers who were shooting the abundant arrows unsparingly without any care were smiling due to the power their arrows held, as they continued to decrease the numbers of the monsters by shooting them down.

[Princess Sara’s Silver Arrows-Making Party] did an exceptionally splendid job.

The Garnelda troops couldn’t do anything other than looking dumbfoundedly at the monsters whose number was decreasing as they were shot down more easily than little birds.

“What an absurdity?! My monsters…”

The monster summoners groaned as their bodies were burned in pain of their own magical power being cut down.

“How come my zombies were easily taken down like this?! This can’t be, this can’t be happening!”

The necromancers were looking at their zombies who couldn’t even reach the enemy army with a look of disbelief.

“…The god’s blessing…It’s the god’s blessing!”

“The Endaria troops have the god’s divine protection!”

“Ooo-u!”

The people who were disheartened by the difference in the military strength had their spirits lifted up looking at the monsters who were falling down and disappearing one by one.

“The chivalric order, attack!”

The chivalric order who had silver swords on their hands then charged at the monster herd as they raised their war cries.

“We’re going to defeat the necromancers, the dark magicians, and the monster summoners!”

“Roger!”

The commando unit with Reidrick and Kite in it rode on their horses.

The swordsmen of the chivalric order were arbitrarily fighting amidst the herd of the monsters.

“Hahahahaha, it’s light! It’s so light!”

“You guys don’t even rust our swords, you’re all as good as trash!”

The silver swords easily tore the monsters to pieces.

Ever since Reidrick met Sara, the chivalric order’s soldiers underwent training that exceeded their power limit day after day as well as a hard game against Reidrick as he was unable to reduce his sexual desire, and their skills and physical strengths were improved in such a short time, thus the monsters were enemies on the same level as babies.

Looking at the monster troops that was supposed to smash the Endaria troops being taken down easily, the Garnelda troops’ general became flustered.

“What are the magicians doing?!”

The Illkia anti-monster troops was also active alongside the chivalric order.

Sara’s silver arrows were even more effective when they were used by Sara herself. A single arrow that shot a herd of monsters continued to fly as it annihilated the monsters one after another.

“What are you doing?! Kill that girl! Do it (kill) first!”

The necromancer shouted.

The monsters focused their attacks on Sara who was shooting the arrows while kicking the monsters around with her favorite horse that was attached to her.

She was using bows, and was at a disadvantage in this close-ranged combat.

“Sara, run away! Someone, help Sara!”

Margrave Griosta screamed.

However, the soldiers of the Illkia troops who wanted to protect Sara were being hindered by the large number of monsters, thus they couldn’t go to Sara’s side.
