As I float back to the giant body of water, I realize even more clearly that my body is in fact deep within the sea, if not the ocean, inside a... shrimp?
Really, I got sucked in by a shrimp?! I don't even know where I remember shrimps from, but for some reason, this feels incredibly frustrating.
Considering we are not that far apart in terms of size, it's normal that it's been having difficulties digesting me.
Alright, it's time for my consciousness to return to my body.

Ahhhh, nothing beats one's own body. As nice as having vision was, I feel more at ease now.
Back to the issue at hand.

Well, that's about what I expected. Okay, time to put what I learned earlier to test.
'Kill and show your skill. Infect!'
I start feeling faint and sleepy. Ugh, I knew this would happen, but it's worse than expected.
Now, what exactly did I just do? It's simply the result of what felt like years of thinking. I was, in fact, attuning to the essence of Damnation. There are many properties and skills to learn, and I'm still only barely scratching the surface of everything this Root offers me.
This skill, Infect, is the most basic knowledge for any Chosen of the Virus Root. What it does is send infected cells into the metabolism of another organism. The downside is that it requires a lot of energy for my current size.
Well, it was more than worth it, for I can now use these cells to do very... useful actions.
