I can already see the Trin city from afar. Looks like a typical western city during medieval era. On its back exists giant mountain and there is a giant castle built into that mountain foot.
Then city continues forward until the walls. Another giant castle wall surrounds the city. After hour of walking we make it before the first gate. There people coming in and going out.
I got to say this like a out of a movie and other world novels. I'm kind of excited to enter this city.
"Two silver coins to enter."
Guard at the door tells me to pay up. Problem would be I don't have any money. Riki's party just entered after showing something to the guards.
After seeing me stopped Riki comes back.
"Here guard let him in."
And hands the guard two silver.
"You can deduct that from my half later."
"I will."
After coming in I finally see what it's like inside the walls. Just as I imagined. There is a brick building by the street that is going upward. Highest ones are two tiered. There are pedestrians walking along the road. Minding their business.
At the end of the road I can see the giant castle. I think that is where archduke lives.
"Where to now?"
"To the guild."
Riki gets in front a lead the way. After walking straight for five minutes we come before first four-tiered house with word guild over its front door.
"This is the guild."
Again, just as I imagined. What about interior? After entering I'm proven right once again. On right side of the floor I see bar with tables and adventurers siting there. Some eating, some drinking.
On left side there is a receptionist and just like I imagined most of them are beautiful ladies. As I see those pretty ladies something in me gets hot. Different from fury or my primal urges. I think it is the so called, hormones.
After all I'm almost fifteen now. I'm sure I will be going through adolescence soon. Haha. I think this thing might make me do something irrational. But problem is, it is not a bad feeling. What do they call it? Butterflies, right?
Hehe.
Finally, there are stairs leading to the upper floor in the middle. With two doors on both sides.
Anyway, after entering Riki goes to one of the receptionists and talks to her. After exchanging few words, receptionist rings a bell and big dude comes out of the door on the right side of the floor.
After speaking to the receptionist, he comes to us.
"You want to submit quest item?"
"Yes, two adult and one young stone snakes, ten Vanishing Scales."
"Okay follow me."
After that Riki's party follow the big dude into the door he came out of. As I tried to follow them in big dude bars my way.
"Non-adventurer isn't allowed to enter."
Well, that makes sense. I turn around and come before one of the free receptionists. And guess. She is an ELF!
Fricking elf. Alex in me is waking up. I can't help but get excited. Actually, there is another elf here too. but this one got dark hair. Don't know why but dark haired one looks better to me. I think it is my preference.
Long ears, black eyes, curves in all the right places and most of all face I how should I say it well beautiful.
"Hello sir, how may I help you?"
Voice is melodious too. Okay chill me. Be cool.
"I would like to register as an adventurer."
"Okay. You just need to fill this form after that you need to take a combat test. If you pass you can get your license. You will be starting at the bottom with Aluminum rank."
She gives me a test. I just got a problem I can talk the language but can't write the damn thing.
"Can you fill it up form me? I'm illiterate."

Now comes the problem. I'm fourteen physically but mentally I'm sure I will be considered forty. So, let's meet at the middle say it's

After that there is a few random questions. The receptionist helps me to fill it. After finishing that she rings another bell. This time another dude comes out of the left side door. He too speaks to the receptionist. Comes to me.
"You're the test taker?"
"Yes."
"Follow me."
I follow him into the door he came out. Behind that door is an arena with open roof. Another typical scene. This is so good. There are few people fighting in the arena.
I think this dude who I followed is some kind of instructor.
He calls to one of them. Young man in a full body armor, blonde hair, green eyes but most attention seeking is his ears. Another elf. But since this one is dude, I'm not excited as last time.
Looks like a Paladin.
"He is Clide. You will fight him and if you manage to hit him once you pass."
"Got it."
We walk to the center of the arena and wait for the signal to start. I'm not feeling anything from this dude. So, his is too weak for me.
Now question is what do I do? Do I trash him or play it low-prof? I'm inclining toward latter option. I don't want to catch people's attention after what happened yesterday night. So, I guess I will barely pass.
"Start."
As soon as the instructor gave the signal Clide lunges at me. even though I can see through his movements as easy as looking through windows I decide to let his punch land. He gets me across my jaw.
This dude is weak. I barely felt anything. But I need to play the part of weakling. After getting hit I throw myself back.
But while getting thrown back I manage to kick him in the gut.
"Stop."
"Instructor that was lucky shot."
"Doesn't matter. He hit you so, he passes."
Elf boy is fuming.
"Lucky bastard."
Idiot. But look the instructor is giving me is unsettling. I think he saw through me. Hehe. Now that is interesting.

We go back to the lobby and Riki's party is back waiting for ne with stupid smiles on their faces. I go to them, instructor goes to the dark-haired elf lady.
"Thousand gold coin Alder. Can you believe it?"
"We need to work for almost a year for half of it."
"Good for you."
"Yes, good for us. Here is your half. Where did you go?"
"I took the combat test."
"I'm sure you passed with flying color, right?"
"Well, I did pass."
Dark-haired beauty beckons me. Just looking at her gives me the goodies. Okay this is getting problematic.
"Congratulations on passing the test and becoming Aluminum ranked adventurer. If you pay for your license you can get it tomorrow morning."
"How much is it?"
"Five silver coins."
"Here."
"Thank you. You can get your license tomorrow morning from me."
"Okay then I will see you tomorrow."
After finishing that I get back to the party.
"What are you going to do now Alder?"
"I think I will try exploring this city. What about you?"
"We are going to go home and rest for today. Yesterday was quite exhausting. See you later then."
"Okay. Goodbye."
After coming out we go our separate ways. As Elaine goes home holding hands with Artas I could help but letting out a grin.
