Feng Kai Ze talked to Yang Fei in his apartment.
‘Yang Fei, for your sake, I hope you have something important to tell me,’ Feng Kai Ze said.
‘Kai Ze, boss wants you to come home and eat dinner tonight,’ Yang Fei said.
‘Why does he want me to come home and eat dinner?’ Feng Kai Ze asked.
‘I’m just the messenger,’ Yang Fei said. ‘Kai Ze, you’ve been back from overseas for a period now. Don’t you think it’s time for you to see boss?’
Feng Kai Ze ended the call. He resented receiving orders from his father.
Feng Kai Ze walked back to Da Tian Ting’s apartment. Seeing her calmed him down, and his world was peaceful again.
Da Tian Ting looked up from the empty gourmet box, and saw Feng Kai Ze returned to her dining room.
‘Mr Feng, this is the tastiest meal I ate in my life,’ Da Tian Ting said. ‘Where did you buy it?’
Da Tian Ting could afford to eat at fancy restaurants. But she never had the time to eat after work, because she took care of Shang Duan Hua. Looking back, she should have seen the liar neon sign pointing at Shang Duan Hua’s head, because he never once took her out to eat at a restaurant.
‘It’s good you liked the food,’ Feng Kai Ze said. ‘I need to go do something. Tonight someone will deliver dinner to you. This is a remote neighborhood. It’s dangerous for you to go out on your own. When I’m not with you, don’t go out on your own.’
Da Tian Ting knew Feng Kai Ze had an agenda to be nice to her, but she liked having someone care about her. She wished Shang Duan Hua had been nice to her as Feng Kai Ze.
