Kitty snuggled in Leo's chest and relaxed her body. "Today I managed to get the tiger sketched on the wall and set up the room how I would like it to be. I will need to show you where everything is so that when you go to use the room you will know where everything is in the room." Kitty closed her eyes and kept herself awake.
"I would like to know where everything is in the room. I bet the sketches will look amazing on the wall after you are done. Did you bring your book upstairs with you? I almost thought that you would want to read it right away but instead, I didn't really give you an option to read the book." Leo ran his hand through her hair.
"It's still on the couch downstairs but I do not think that anyone in the house will move the book or even steal it. I trust the people here. How was work, I know you said that you had a meeting today? How did that go?" Kitty looked up to Leo's head and looked into his eyes.
"My meeting went rather well. I have taken over and the hunters are taking it rather well. There were a few hunters that have to requested to only do monitoring missions and one that had requested to still be on hunts. I got a detailed report about a target that was being followed so I asked that individual if they wanted to keep doing this kind of work. I do need to go back to work tomorrow and I will be borrowing Ketan so I will ask that Carlos and Cindy stay home tomorrow. I know that it is the weekend but I have to go to Valdis's houses and search for anything that should not be there. I will have Ketan help me pack up the removable items. Asurlon is looking to see if he had any properties that were not mentioned to the association so that we can make sure that the chemical can not be used anymore. There is a chance that he may escape so I want to get this completed as soon as possible." Leo sighed, "I do not trust that Valdis doesn't have help on the inside. It's only a matter of time before he escapes."
"It sounds like you had a rough time but at least you are getting this done as soon as possible. I do think that you are correct in that assumption and I think you have made the right choices. There has to be a reason why you have not decided to execute him. I feel that it is not an easy thing to do but you are on the right path." Kitty sat up and got off the bed. "I will be right back." Kitty walked to the bathroom.
"Thank you, my love. I will get up and start getting dressed as well." Leo got out of bed and collected both of their clothing. He placed her clothes on the bed and then slipped into his black jogging pants that he had pulled from the dresser. He stepped into the bathroom and ran some warm water in one of the two sinks. He watched Kitty in the mirror as she brushed her hair. He took the brush from her and brushed her hair gently. He got out all the knots in her smooth hair and then quickly braided her hair. "There that is much better for you, my sweet."
Kitty blushed and looked at him in the mirror behind her. She caught his eye and then leaned into his embrace. "Thank you, Darling. I love the way you take care of me unconditionally. I didn't need help doing my hair but it is nice that you did it for me."
"I would do it all over again if it makes you that happy but we do not have enough time before the others come looking for us to have dinner. We have had some fun. When you are dressed, let's go back to the living room where you may read and I can check my emails but also check the new hunt system I made. Too much work brought home. Oh, I almost forgot that I brought some papers home with me. I need to go over them and I was hoping to have you sort through them with me." Leo released her and then wrapped his arm around her waist.
Kitty followed Leo back to the room and saw her clothes on the bed. She got dressed back into her pants but grabbed a clean pair of panties. She went to the closet and pulled out a deep green shirt that had blue flowers along the left side of the body. She put that shirt on and pulled the braid out from under the shirt she turned and looked at Leo. "Alright, let's go get that done. I will help you sort through those papers but where did you find them and how are they important?"
Leo walked up to her and gave her a light kiss on the lips, "you look stunning. As for the papers, I am almost one hundred percent sure that they were something that Valdis was hunting for. I found them in an office hidden under a filing cabinet. I took them before he started tearing apart the room. I have not had the time to look at them so I locked them away in my new desk then held the meeting just to be on the safe side. So I don't know the complete significance of the papers." Leo pulled out a black t-shirt and put it on. He wrapped his arm around her waist and lead her down to the living room.
Kitty let Leo lead her to the living room happily. Kitty looked down at the table and noticed that Leo had the file full of papers and his work laptop on the table. "Is that the file?" Kitty reached out and opened the file to the first page. She skimmed through the first page and it was a regular hunt from what she could tell. She flipped to the next page and noticed a slight difference in the writing. She skimmed through the file and saw that it had been altered from the first report that she read. Kitty sat down and flipped to the middle of the stack. She stopped on the names on the pages and her hand trembled a little.
Leo looked down at what she saw when he noticed that she was trembling. He read what the report said and was shocked as that was the original report that was supposed to be entered into the system. "Finding this is a blessing. I could not prove that the system had been altered when I first entered the hunter's association. Asurlon said that one day I would find concrete proof and that is when I would be able to convict those that took place in the alteration of the hunter files. If my parents' files are in there then there is a high possibility that your parents will be in there as well."
Kitty looked up at Leo and had tears running down her cheeks, "Darling, Finally we can avenge your parents. These files will prove that the did not need to die. I really liked Sandra and Robert. They were my other parents I trusted them and I was so close to helping them to achieve what they wanted."
Leo put his laptop down and started to consol Kitty by hugging her, "this is going to be a hard question but do you think you could tell me what exactly was the purpose of the meeting you guys were going to have?"
