"Is Ketan closer to what I am?" Kitty stared at Sylvie with a deep understanding of what he could potentially be going through.
"I am not sure. Since the hybrid mixture is different. I know that if I wasn't alive neither one of you would have survived this long. There is nothing I can do other than provide you with my essence and stay alive for my brother."
"The reason I asked is because Ketan asked if I needed to drain the target before he drinks the blood. Normally it does not matter but if he is closer to what I am then he might be unknowingly be taking the essence as well." Kitty leaned against the wall.
"There is a possibility that he might be taking the essence but at this moment that is not something that you have to worry about. I'm his twin and I know that he is not like you right now. That does not mean that I have not thought of this before. I found it strange that Ketan was able to do so much more than me but having so many years he has gained control over everything. I think once he gets a partner he will be saved and my part will be over but that idiot is fighting the urges. It is not right that I am happy while he is miserable." Sylvie glanced down the hallway.
Ketan dropped Carlos and Nathan off at the other building on the property. "I will leave you guys to get settled I will patrol after I chat with Sylvie." He appeared and listened to what was being said. "Sylvie, I will not allow you to talk like that. I know that I need you but you need me too. You are still my sister and I will do everything that I can to keep you safe. I may not be that reliable but at least I do not wish for your death. Please do not talk like you are not worthy of living."
Emerson got out of bed and hugged Sylvie, "I do not think that was what she was trying to get at Ketan. Sylvie worries about you and Kitty all the time. I can not say I know what the three of you go through but from my perspective." He pauses for a moment before continuing. "It is like a mother taking care of her children. She cares about you and scolds the two of you. We are not able to have children. So in an indirect way you are like her children."
Kitty looked at Sylvie shocked, "you can't have children? I never asked before but why can't you have children?"
"Every spell costs a price." Sylvie froze and thought about it. She looked back at Emerson and saw him shake his head. She nodded, "I think that now is not the time to go over this. When the timing is right, I will explain this but for now, you both need rest. Ketan you can rest in our room and Emerson and I will watch the property for you."
Ketan looks at the two and sighs, "every single time I think that you will finally tell me what is on your mind you sideline me and I feel like I am not worthy to know what is on your mind. I will take you up on the rest I need it pretty bad right now. Ketan truded into the room and laid down on the bed. As his head hit the pillow he passed out and his light snores could be heard from the doorway.
Emerson and Sylvie stepped out of the room. Sylvie closed the door as quietly as possible and then walked Kitty to her room. Sylvie touched Kitty's eyes and said, "sleep," before Kitty could say anything, "rest up and don't dig this up anymore."
Kitty tried to fight the command but found it extremely difficult to do. She slid down and leaned against the wall. She heard what Sylvie said before passing out.
Emerson caught Kitty and carried her to the bed. He sat on the edge and looked at Kitty sleeping peacefully. "You know that if you are not careful she will see what you did in the past?"
"I am aware of what I did in the past, it will come to light sooner or later. I think she might dream about it. There is nothing I can do about that. She will find out one way or another. Whether it be from the dream or from me telling her. I am not worried about her finding out Emerson. Let's go and see how everyone is doing and then we will watch the household." She leaves the bedroom and waits in the hallway.
Emerson got up and walked to the door and closed the door then looks at Sylvie. "I understand and I will follow what you choose to do. As I am yours and yours alone. Since the day I became your only source of substance and you revealed everything to me. I still care about you." He took her hand and leads her downstairs.
Tiana jumped up and down. "Tiana can't wait for Daddy to see what Tiana got."
Cindy came through the doorway and placed some of the bags down. "Leo where shall we put all these things for now?"
"Let's place it all in the living room and I will get Anna to take the clothes to the laundry room. We need to make sure that the clothes get washed in case someone else has tried them on." Leo took the bags to the living room.
"Leo, I will get Anna for you." Luke walked away and found Anna from her scent. "Anna, can you come to the living once you have a moment?"
