"As long as I am okay with it then there will be no issues. I know that Sylvie would get mad if I was not okay with it. At first, I didn't want outsiders staying with us but over time I slowly caved. We saved a young girl and she stayed with us until she passed away as a human. She decided that living forever would be too much of a burden. I was sad and it was at that point that I changed my mind." Ketan smiled sadly and then touched his forehead.
Leo picked up the phone and called both Brielle and Will. The phone rang until there were two clicks. "Good evening you two. How is everything going there?"
"As much as I am enjoying the extended vacation Sam is wanting to go home. All she keeps saying is that we have nothing set up for the baby. It is getting a bit out of hand honestly." Will touched in between his eyebrows.
Sam heard Will on the phone and rushed into the room but before she could speak Will placed a finger over her lips. She pouted at him.
"Good afternoon, Leo. I liked my time here but I was wondering if this is still necessary? It has been really peaceful. Also, Thompson has been working really hard at learning everything that you placed for him to learn." Brielle looked around her room and already had everything packed up.
"Actually that is why I am calling you guys. I think that it is time for everyone to come home. Will and Brielle, I have your next assignments ready for you. Also, Sam, I know that this last little bit has been hard on you so I hope that when you get home you take it easy. Maybe your baby will become friends with our daughter." Leo chuckled.
"How in the world did you know that I was here? I was so quiet. There is no way that you would be able to see that I was here." Sam looked around the room in suspicion.
"I figured that you would be nearby when I called. Also, I heard your feet running towards Will. Everyone can return. Let Thompson know that I appreciate the effort that he is putting into this. I am excited to see how everything goes." Leo looked at the two that were cuddling. "Thomspon's family is going to be kept in a secret place that only we will know the location and it is almost damn near impossible to find. I don't trust that Valdis did not have other countermeasures in place. I am sure that you both understand what I am talking about."
"Yes, I think that you should still keep them hidden away. If you have a location in mind then you are probably right. I am already packed up. I knew that after Valdis was caught that it would be time to come home." Brielle sat down and waited a moment. "When will they be transferred to the new location?"
"That is something that we are still working out. I am hoping that by the time that you guys land back here sometime tomorrow that we will have everything all sorted out. I will let you know the details in person tomorrow." Leo looked at Ketan.
Ketan nodded his head, "That works for me as well. So long as these two finish what needs to be done. Then everything will be set in stone."
"Alright, you have your next tasks. The plane that you took will be waiting for you guys to take back. I hope that you enjoyed your vacation and are ready to work." Leo closed his eyes and sighed.
"See you soon, Boss." Will drew out the word boss before hanging up the phone.
"Leo, before I hang up do you have something that is happening at home? You seem a little bit different than normal. I know that a lot is going on and you seem a bit stressed out." Brielle looked at the wall and sat down.
Leo sighs, "it is not easy dealing with everything. It has been a rollercoaster of the week but I think that this week will go better or at least I hope that it does. There is an issue that I think could happen but I would rather tell you in person. I want to go back home but before that, I need to get to the office and check more emails. So many god damned emails. I thought that I had a lot before but now it is four times the amount and some of them are just stupid but that is enough of that. I will see you tomorrow Brielle." Leo hung up the phone before she could ask anything else.
Ketan sighed and patted Leo on the back. "It is not easy being in charge of an association. I can tell you that from experience. Sometimes you get asked the stupidest things. I bet it is worse for you because you have a building to go along with all those people. Thankfully, I do not have a building and also that my parents never handed it over to me."
Stella looked over at the two and smiled, "it sounds like the two of you have it rough but there is always someone out there that has it worse."
Leo looked over and chuckled, "you are right on that note but I am dating the one that has it worse. I do not mind at all. It is just a bit of a pain in the ass."
"She has been dealing with this a lot longer than you, Leo but I have known about this since I was young. So I should be prepared but there is nothing that can prepare you for the unknown." Ketan patted Leo on the shoulder. "That is it for the phone calls. We will watch you two finish the bond, that is if you are ready?"
Stella looked into Peter's eyes. "I am glad that we are now one. I am pleased that we will be able to spend the rest of our lives together."
