John has left for the day, the flooring is all in and he said he'll be back in two days to start the installation of the bookshelves. Let's go to the dining room and have dinner." "There are some bowls on the counter you can bring them to the table. Thanks, kid." Carlos pours soup in the soup bowls and brings them to the table. "Here's some soup Kitty." He places the bowl in front of her and then in front of Cindy. He goes back to the kitchen and grabs the bowls for himself and Luke.
Luke carries the big bowls of fruit and crackers to the table then sets down. 'I really wish I could do more to help.' He sits there thinking of what they could do for the evening. "How about after dinner we watch a movie? It'll at least pass the time."
Kitty starts to eat the soup. "Let's do that. It's a good idea to pass the rest of the time." She eats the soup and her thoughts are a little clouded. 'What is worse knowing that it's going to happen or not knowing what's going to happen?'
Cindy eats her soup and glances at Carlos and sees him nod. 'I guess a movie will be more relaxing than just waiting around.'
Carlos sat down and started eating the soup. "What type of movie shall we watch? I think Leo made some home movies of you, Luke." He chuckles.
Luke looks over at Carlos, "you know what, that is not a bad idea. Even if you said that as a joke it would be better than trying to find a movie everyone will agree upon."
Kitty looks up and smiles. "Okay, eat up and then we can watch the movie in the meantime."
Everyone ate the rest of the meal in silence. It was about a half an hour and everyone as done eating. "If you don't mind Cindy could you help Carlos clean up while I set up the movie to watch?" Luke got up and asked Cindy.
