The lift took about 5 minutes till it stopped at the 5th floor. I look around and saw a lot off people running around. Looks like they are in a rush. This guy brought me to a room where people enter and leaves. As we entered the room I had a clear view of what's inside and it is indeed a set. Workers are in panic as if something is about to happen and they are doing their best to avoid it.
"Uhm as you can see everyone is in a hurry. Come here I will introduce you to her. Behave well she has a bad temper you might don't like to get to her bad side." I nodded as I followed him quietly.
"Manager Han! Do you have a second to spare?" So this guy is a manager? He doesn't look like one though. Manager Han nodded his head and look at me apologetically and asked me to stay and he will be back. I stood there while watching them run around the place.
"Hey! are you just going to stand there and watch? WE didn't pay you to watch! Here give this to the Director and ask if the Camera man is ready" The lady told me and shoved a folder right through me. But Manager Han told me to- oh well it's just this one right?
I asked someone where the Director is and he pointed at the closed room where a silhouette of three people lowering their heads while another silhouette is in front and pointing his fingers at them. From here I can hear the faint sound of the directors voice while nagging at them.
"Are you all stupid? or just a plain idiot! We can't afford another explosion from the boss! Where is Mina? What happened to the lighting? Where's the backdrop? The other models? such irresponsible act!" The Director yelled causing the veins on his neck to show as if it was bout to explode.
"Director w-we told her to stand by but she still insisted on leaving. I-i told her that we need her cooperation but she still l-left" The woman in a pencil skirt and white polo answered.
"That impulsive bratt! Go look for her! If an hour passes I have no choice but to replace her" The Director said coldly.
"D-director"
"Within an hour everything should be right where they are or else"
"Yes Director" They answered in chorus. I knocked three times before I went inside. As I faced their direction I bowed my head before I went near the director's table.
"Director Xing, they asked if the camera man is ready sir" I politely asked. I noted in my mind that I should be careful of my actions and not to get too their bad side.
"He will be in an hour"
"Okay sir" Hast nodded his head and told me to go. I left the room and just as I was about call manager Han who was standing near the door when someone grabbed me by my hand. She kept on mumbling unusual things till we stopped in front of a dressing room.
"Mina I told you a lot of times that you can't leave the set whenever you like! everyone is in panic because of you!" The lady who has her back at me massaged her Temple and put her hand on her waist.
"Ahm"
"Shut up Mina! I'm trying my best to suppress my emotions here!" She yelled and then she started handing me a couple of dresses and asked me to change into them. I tried to tell her that I'm not that Mina she is talking about but then she cut me off before I could even finish my statement.
She called a makeup artist named Belle. Belle hesitated to do my makeup because she knows that I'm not that Mina girl. But just like me she was cut off before she could even tell her that I'm someone else.
"Finish it up or else were dead." Belle just nodded. And that woman named Clarrise left.
"What am I doing here?"
"Just sit there and let me do my job. We can't make Miss Clarrise mad. She probably mistook you or you are going to be the replacement" She told me in a matter of fact tone. What have I done? She started to do my makeup up and my hair then when she's done she gave me the floral printed maxi dress and a pair of white lace up think strappy high heels and added with some accessories.
"Here change with this one Cyllene" I just nodded my head and changed into it. This high heel is a killer! I watched how the dress hugged my curves and showed my long legs. I wore the extra accessories and put some on my ankle and my neck, ears and my wrist. I could say it's not that bad. I turned around in front of the big mirror, it complemented my body well. My collarbone sure is perfectly carved.
"Cyllene we will start now. You be- woah!" Belle looked at me with her priceless expression. What? am I the only one who thinks it looks good on me? She grabbed me by the arm and turned me around before squealing like a teenager.
"Do I look okay?" I asked.
"What do you mean you look okay? You look Fantastic! I mean oh dear baby Jesus. Come the shoot is starting" She smiled like a proud mom before leading me outside. Everyone looked through me in awe but then soon their faces turned sour and scoffed.
"She looks good but her aura looks a bit off. The theme don't fit her" one of the staffs whispered then soon a lot of opinion voiced out.
"I bet she can't pull a pose off"
"Indeed. She will just look like a retard woman in there"
"Yes yes! and I can only pity her when the director send her away" They were on their own dilemma when we heard a clap telling them to proceed from what they are supposed to be doing. The whispers and giggling stopped but there are still some staffs who looked at me with pity. Belle tugged my arm and whispered that I shouldn't mind them but I just smiled at her.
Soon the director came while holding some papers. When he saw me his smile vanished and he looked at the assistant director at his side then uttered.
"Who is this young lady?"
"Director she is-"
"What the?! Belle?! I told you prepare Mina not some proxy models there!" Clarrise came and was about to make a scene
"Miss Clarrise you where the one who told me to prepare Cyllene. I tried to tell you that you mistook he as Mina but you didn't listen so I just do my job but it doesn't look bad. It does complemented the aspects of the dress and it goes well with her features." Belle reasoned.
"huh! but it was Mina who was signed to take this shoot!"
"I-I thought"
"It's okay I'll just change" I told her then she smiled at me apologetically. I was removing the accessories when I heard the door opened.
"Cyllene, the director wants to have a practice shoot and see if you can do it"
"But the contract?"
"Just go" I nodded my head and went outside. They are having some finishing touches on the backdrop.
"Do it well girl, You have to listen to what the prep says"
"Cyllene position yourself. Do you know what you're going to portray?" The camera man asked me while adjusting the camera"
"Innocent young lady it is" he just nodded his head while he dragged his gaze from my head down to my toe. Quite disturbing but I can manage.
"Do you need instructions on every poses?"
