There was nothing, but silence.

Sophia did not immediately answer Sol's question; her previously cheerful face, suddenly gloomed. She quickly snatched the phone from her brother's hand and intently read the thread of discussions among the present players. Meanwhile, Sol did not mind the lack of response as he started to focus on driving, gently pressing with his right foot, the gas pedal of the sedan.

"D*mn! How am I supposed to power level, tomorrow? Any tips on where I should go? A new solo player here! My character is a Human Swordsman." In the comment section of the blog by GenosGrounds, the query of a user named 'EndlessFaith69' was pinned on the topmost part. It has garnered many responses from other players.

"Haha. Where's your confidence coming from, rook? Make sure to win two rank matches in a day first, before worrying about that matter!!!" Evil Monarch bashed.

"Hey, Evil Monarch! What's wrong with you, dude? We don't tolerate bullies here. Take this as your last warning, or you'll be banned. EndlessFaith69, try Harrowing Town. Just pass through the Eastern Gate of Alistor City, and you'll find it in no time if you keep your path straight...You should hurry, though, as this war will be big-time, and you might end up as a victim. At best just stay in the Ranked Mode, and see if you can last long hehe." MicTestSonata replied. On the upper right portion of his username, a red logo of a crossed yellow hammer and pen was displayed. It was the badge of moderators.

Aside from the numerous suggestions, and nonsensical bickering among users, Sophia also noticed some sensible posts.

"Looks like the power struggle among guilds begins now. I've been waiting for this for more than a year already! Those small skirmishes are boring! Let these big shots choke each other to death so that the playing field could be levelled! It's time to reassess the guild rankings!" Mr.N0b0dy commented.

"I agree. However, I'm still amazed that these guilds will fight over a measly city, like Alistor. Well, no hate, please. I'm just trying to understand the situation here. Do you have any leads on what had started this?" FireEntrance replied to Mr.N0b0dy

"Eh? You should read the blog first, before commenting, dude. This lazy bastard. Seriously?" Lancron reprimanded FireEntrance in his comment.

"You owe me this one, FireEntrance. You lazy reader... Titans overtook Alistor City from the hands of Stone Troopers today and even caused the latter to disband. However, the bigger issue lies in the real overlord of the city - Predators, who was annihilated too. There's a rumour that it is being sponsored by the guild, Eternal Vespers, one of the Six Purgatories. However, if we'll assess the situation right now, I say that I agree with you. It's more than the struggle for territory, there's more to this, and that's something we'll find out, two days from now when the city protection order expires. Damn...it's gonna be fun to watch!" DaoReader explained.

Sophia sighed a deep breath as she forcefully turned off the phone and tossed it in the hollow space, beside the car's hand brake. "Are they still bothering you?"

"Hey! Please be careful in handling my phone. I still don't have the budget to replace it. Hehe. Anyway, going back to your question. Yes, they're still annoying me, but I'm getting more than just bothering from them, sis! They're threatening those who commission me for crafting. Plus, they're monopolising the materials from dungeons and bosses too." Solomon helplessly chuckled as he focused on the road ahead.

"Wherever you put humans, there's always chaos and politics. Isn't it? Sigh. All I ever wanted was to play! Why is life like this brother? Mind sharing some wisdom?" Sophia was helpless, too, as she feinted a smile.

"There's more to War Grounds than a game, Sophia. You know that Yoshimitzu Corporation did not release it to the public just for the sake of giving entertainment. The game is just about to reach its 2nd anniversary, but it's already promising, attracting massive investments from fortune companies. It's a gold mine." Sol reminded his sister.

"And we started WisDOOM as a protest against these evil practices! So, promise me that no matter how much they pressure us, you will not cave in, brother! We'll fight for what our father has worked hard to build! It was him, who started the game, but those shameless assholes took the credit for themselves and worse, they banished him from the company!" Sophia's tone was starting to get aggressive.

"Of course. We work hard every day for that moment of redemption. However, in any world, there is, one thing holds true: only the strong can bend the law and make the biggest difference." Sol was solemn as he gave his share of two cents.

"Yeah. That sucks! Anyway, let's not further spoil this beautiful night. We'll deal with them, once we're there! So, what's your impression with our recruits? Do we have the potential to start a professional team, once the Esports will be pushed through?" Sophia changed the topic; her tone was now somewhat hopeful.

"Is your inside-information really a legit one? Do you really trust that, Fred?" Sol was doubtful.

"Of course! Fred is a trustworthy person. I would not dare to leave Frozen Occident, get the ire of Uncle Judas, and Xoraida, and join you in WisDOOM if my sources are not reliable! The Rookie Challenge is where the foundation for War Grounds' Esports will be laid." Sophia reassured.

"Phew. Those crazy blue-haired cousins of ours from Burning Orient. They're really that competitive, huh? Well, the group's somewhat promising. However, I could not say much as of now. We can only wait until the end of the Rookie Challenge, and see how we'll fare. But! Al Gentrix's character and equipment are somewhat interesting. Plus, Ogni's little brother is with us. That Papa Bear, he was using the first weapon I have crafted for Ogni. Haha. What a funny and small world it is." Sol shook his head. "So, what's your answer? Will you join the war in Alistor, two days from now?" After his long speech, Sol returned to his previous main question.

"We'll see." Sophia's voice lingered as she turned her head to survey the scene outside the car. She was admiring the light trails of the city.
