Chapter 76: SWORD ART

Due to SARS' help, Al was already aware of the skills in Osho's arsenal.

Udil immediately increased his pace as he charged towards the circular formation of red-katana sword lights. However, when he was just about to enter the domain, he immediately stopped.

Shadow Clones!

Al's character split into six identical figures, who immediately spread out to surround Osho.

Sensing that Al seemed to be aware of the consequences once he entered the Shrine of the Fallen, Osho no longer dared to wait for the skill's duration to end as he immediately pounced to the nearest enemy.

Poof! Osho cleanly cut the clone's head before it disappeared into a cloud of smoke.

As a consequence, the remaining five figures of Udil immediately closed in from all directions after the sword lights disappeared.

However, Osho happily welcomed them as he has another domain skill - Wrath of Seas and Storms!

Boom! Blue aura bursted forth from Osho's katana as he planted it on the ground.

A huge blue-spirit of a samurai immediately took form above Osho. However, Mikoto was not enough to deter Udil from charging.

Bluewater waves and stormy black clouds started to form around the samurai, serving as both a defensive and offensive barrier.

The charging clones immediately disintegrated upon contact with the waves and clouds. They were not able to close in.

However, Al did not worry. His real goal was to force Osho to use up all of his domain skills.

Just when the last clone was about to reach the Samurai's position, Osho suddenly disappeared, leaving Shogun's Wrath behind on the ground. It was the same move that he had previously used against Dreaming Blade.

Now that Osho understood the principles behind Sleeping Forest, his movements became more agile. Udil had expected this possibility, but he was not able to react quickly.

Summer Solstice!

Osho did not dare to be polite with his friend as he appeared behind him. He immediately sent him to the air with a kick. However, since he left his weapon behind, all he could perform as a follow-up attack was a series of punches instead of slashes towards the airborne body of Udil.

Poof! The airborne body of Udil suddenly turned into a smoke - it was no longer the original.

One could say that the bane of samurais were ninjas. The former's strength was focused on dealing with single targets, and the latter's escape techniques were the good counters to foil these types of burst damages.

Substitution Technique! Udil's figure was now standing in front of Shogun's Wrath.

Was it possible to wield your opponent's weapon in the game? It was.

Osho's technique of prematurely canceling Wrath of Seas and Storms was a risky move as he was technically dropping his weapon behind in exchange for catching the opponent by surprise. Unfortunately, his enemy, Al, had a good grasp of his data, so he has to pay the high price for playing with fire.

Sword Art!

It was the name of the hidden passive skill of the Blade of Guhing, which allowed its user to bypass any weapon restriction skill that was related to blades.

Nitoryu was the last skill that Al had chosen. A Samurai class active skill that allowed its user to be a dual wielder in the condition that his weapons were katanas.

One could say that Al's plan has surpassed Osho's expectations by leaps.

Udil was now holding Osho's weapon, Shogun's Wrath with his left hand while in his right hand was no longer a flamberge, but a katana. The skill Piston Lungs made him more of a badass as the two blades in his hands blazed with fire.

"Haha! Game over?" Udil grinned.

"Over my dead body." Osho smiled back as he disappeared in a blur.

Meanwhile, the spectating members, especially those who betted on Osho's victory, were dumbfounded by what had happened.

"Big Boss is so cool! I'm switching sides now!" Bertran's mouth could not be closed as he marveled at the performance of Al.

To defend one's self against two flaming katanas using bare hands was wishful thinking. Now that he no longer had a weapon to wield, the other skills of Osho were rendered useless.

Osho kept on dodging the attacks of Al, but in the end, he eventually got tired, and his own sword finally claimed his life.

Al won against Osho.

"Haha!" Osho could not believe how he was defeated as he received his weapon back from Al after he had resurrected.

"Will you join WisDOOM now?" Al teased, but there was no trace of boasting in his voice.

He knew that if not for SARS' tips, his chances of winning against Osho would significantly decrease. In the same way, he was not satisfied with the victory. Al promised to himself that a day would come wherein he shall defeat his best friend, fair and square!

"To be honest, I'm a bit tempted. Let me think about that for the next century." Osho grinned as he shook Al's hand. It was almost ten in the evening.

"Thank you, Osho. I really appreciate today's help! Are you really sure you won't sleep here? It's already late." Al offered.

"Nah, it's all good. I'm glad to see you grow, buddy! It seemed like a century has passed since we've last bonded together. You're not the Al Gentrix that I've known anymore! Haha! I'm proud of you, brother." Osho tried to size up the character before him.

Al could not help himself from getting a bit emotional. A lot of things happened to him in the past few days, and he was not yet fully able to digest them.

The team finally said their goodbyes to Osho and called it a day.

It was Al's first night to sleep together in a bunker with his friends. He can't help himself from getting excited.

"Hey! Have you heard about the impending guild war in Alistor?" The group was preparing their beds when Jack suddenly brought up the topic.

"Yeah. Too bad, our territories in the Open World are far away from each other. We can't watch it." Patrick added.

"Actually, we can." Al suddenly joined the conversation with a grin.
