Song Jia was at the doorstep, with the door ajar and just before she could peek in to see what was going on, Butler Mingli's voice distracted her. "Miss Song, Miss Wei Xin is here looking for you."

"Wei Xin?" Didn't she tell her on call that she will manage the work, so why was she here now?

Song Jia left the doorknob to turn around and walked downstairs with the butler to the living room where Wei Xin was seated. She got up seeing her and with a slightly embarrassed tone, she said, "I am sorry I forgot to tell you that I needed your signatures on these papers. It was a bit urgent so I drove over."

Song Jia nodded and took the file from her while sitting next to where Wei Xin sat. "Uncle Mingli, will you please just go and check up on Wu Zihao once?"

The butler looked slightly confused and seeing his expression Song Jia clarified, "I heard a sound of something like a glass shattering. Will you please take a look at him for me?"

"Of course Miss." The butler nodded and went out of the room, but there was someone whose back turned stiff from the news.

Wei Xin tried felt a deep sinking feeling in her heart as if something was not right. "What happened to him?"

"I don't know, I just—"

"Miss Song!" before Song Jia could explain anything, the butler came rushing back to the room, huffing, and puffing, successfully attracting the attention of both the women.

"What happened Uncle Mingli?"

"Second Young master..." the butler looked troubled. "His condition looks bad, but he won't let me enter inside."

Before the butler could even finish speaking, Wei Xin's heart started pounding as she finally knew that her sinking feeling was not merely an intuition. She immediately stood up and dashed out of the door to go to Wu Zihao forgetting everything about letting him go that she had previously decided in the past.

As she stepped out, she realized she didn't know where his room was. Seeking help she turned back to see the butler and Song Jia coming out. Song Jia immediately caught up with her and they headed to his room together.

As they entered the room, never did they expect to see what they actually did. Shreds of broken glass were scattered on the floor and the entire room reeked of alcohol and cigarettes. Song Jia who was in the front craned her neck to look inside and saw Wu Zihao sitting in front of his bar, with his back facing them. His body was leaning forward and his steps languid as he tried to get off of the barstool. His clothes were disheveled and he was still in his pajamas murmuring something in a slurry voice, that she didn't really understand his words.

"Wu Zihao!" However, he was too drunk to respond. Her brows scrunched together, to form creases on her forehead when she found him in such a terrible state.

Wei Xin and the butler also entered the room and Wei Xin gasped in shock seeing his condition. Avoiding the pieces of glass, the two women walked towards him and Wei Xin caught him right on time before he could fall by tripping. Using a lot of strength, she somehow managed to help him lean against the bar counter with Song Jia's help.

"Old Mingli, didn't I tell you to not come inside?" Wu Zihao barked angrily, scaring the butler who was not even anywhere close to him yet. When he had come previously, he had thought of helping him but before he could even reach anywhere close, Wu Zihao had scurried him out of the room by yelling at the poor old man.

He would not have involved Song Jia but he felt worried for his second young master as Wu Zhang was also not at home to take care of his brother and left with no other choice, he had decided to inform Song Jia

"Zihao, it's me." Wei Xin whispered softly as she looked at him, but he didn't seem to hear it

He was drunk to the extent that he had lost his senses and continued murmuring something, not even a single word of which did they understand. However, when Wei Xin looked at his face, she felt a pang of hurt in her heart, because her always so proud friend that she had fallen in love with, looked defeated today.

His eyes were red, face smeared with tears and his hair a mess just like his clothing. The energy and smile that he always carried with him were nowhere present today. She looked around to see uncountable cigarette buds and empty bottles lying here and there on the floor as well as the bar counter. Did he drink all of this, she thought to herself.

Song Jia who was equally shocked to his condition stepped forward and held him tightly by his shoulders to straighten his body. She tapped him on his cheek a few times to gain his attention as she spoke, "Wu Zihao, what is wrong with you? Why the fuck did you drink so much?"

"Jin... Qingling why?" Was all he replied after multiple repetitions of her question and another drop of tear rolled down his eyes.

"Who?" Song Jia had no idea who Jin Qingling was and her question was directed to both Wu Zihao and Wei Xin. Seeing her burdened with her own trouble, Wu Zhang had made sure to not let her find out anything about anyone that would make her worry even more than she already did. But Wei Xin knew full well who Jin Qingling was and her eyes filled with tears hearing that name.

So it is all because of her, she thought to herself feeling bitter in her heart. Her eyes were filled with tears, making her vision blurry. Not wanting her tears to fall out, she blinked her eyes multiple times to prevent anyone from noticing it.
