Shen Tianyu puffed up her cheeks her entire person shaking, holding her stomach, bent over the ground, trying to restrain her laughter until the carriage left. when she didn't hear the wheels anymore, she burst out into roaring laughter, even rolling on the ground while holding her stomach.
"Oh my god! I can't believe you actually said that! I mean, I kind of do but still! did you see his face?! Hahaha!"
"Don't roll on the ground, your robes will get dirty." Rong Jian warned her with a wide smile, laughter in his voice and eyes.
Shen Tianyu finally calmed down enough to get up and wipe her tears with her fingers before she patted her clothes and got off the ground. "Let's go inside, it's been uncomfortable out here." Not even waiting for his answer, she turned and walked back. Of course, Rong Jian got up and followed her.
She laid down on one of the lounge chairs, rubbing and massaging her legs like an old lady. Rong Jian came over to help by hitting the muscles and she relaxed, letting him assist. "I say the stone pavement is so hard, I almost thought my legs would become useless after kneeling for so long. But this emperor is really a character. We're so obviously a couple and he discriminated against one, did he honestly think just because we were contestants that we would be citizens and therefore we wouldn't be upset? Our parents deeply loved each other and our father would often give such lectures. Our mother could be considered an accomplished woman, but after she was married, she was severely restricted because of her role as his wife and that had caused some tension between them at first, or so we siblings were told. Our mother was a very smart woman and can analyze really well so she helped father out by breaking down why certain things are in her opinion and told of her experiences, since these kinds of things were usually never thought about too deeply and people didn't really share these kids of analysis and stories."
