Shen Tianyu and Rong Jian were the only two without a single defeat, and were dubbed the champions of the Tournament by many, despite Xi Qi having more people remaining standing. The Tournament staff also acknowledged it though it was only a passing mention. They were the ones who won Jing Qie the Tournament. Otherwise, with so little people remaining, they wouldn't have won.

"No it's fine." She wanted to talk to Ling Lei but she was here to recruit. Ling Lei already has a life and future so she didn't want to bring him away from all that. It wasn't bad to associate with him though. Connections were important no matter if one was a politician or a businessman. "I came especially to see you today."

Ke Qingyan placed a cup of hot tea in front of her before sitting across from her, another cup in front of him. He widened his eyes in surprise before understanding dawned over him.

Shen Tianyu took a sip of the tea, watching his expression. Seeing his change in expression, she put down her tea and let out a short sigh. "He told you already, didn't he?"

"Yes." He didn't bother to hide it. They both knew who she was talking about of course, she was ever only close to one person throughout the Tournament.

"Then that makes things easier I guess." She said with a click of her tongue. She was going to tell him anyways sure but it didn't sit well with her that someone else decided what she'd do without telling her. She needs to have a talk with him when she gets back.

"Lady Shen, there's no need to blame him. He didn't really tell me anything just that he let me off for you." Ke Qingyan Shawnee click her tongue and guessed that she was blaming him.

"...what I wanted to ask you was 'do you want to join Lavender Palace?'" Shen Tianyu didn't answer his small plea but instead got straight to the point.

"Lavender Palace?" Ke Qingyan asked with utter disbelief, eyes wide.

"You're aware that I have been recruited by Lavender Palace right? They said I could recommend people that I think are worth the time and resources." Shen Tianyu already had a story ready. If he asked about before, she can just say she was actually recruited early in the Tournament. Everything was just rumors for now anyways, she can just use them to her advantage.

"Lady Shen this… this honor, I'm afraid…" Ke Qingyan stumbled over his words, trying to find a polite way to refuse but he also didn't want to let go of this gold mine of an opportunity that fell from the sky.

Shen Tianyu put her hand up to stop him, aware of what he's trying to say. "There's no need to refuse, I've thought long and hard about it. Your musical instrument weapon cultivation method is indeed a bit...rough. However, it's also rare and a talent that could practice it from scratch like you will definitely be a reknowned talent. Second, you are not the Eldest son of your family, meaning, you have no definitive road in life. It is your brother who will inherit the family, you can only blindly find a path to success yourself. In that case, you have not many responsibilities and attachments, the most fitting situation to be initiated into the Sect. Since, as I'm sure everyone knows, we- no, they, are very secretive. There will not be many things you can tell your loved ones. Favoritism to outsiders is also frowned down upon." She explained her reasoning all in one breath. She took the time for Ke Qingyan to respond to catch her breath and drink some more tea.

"This...I, actually I found an abandoned manual on basic musical instrument cultivation so this isn't all on my own efforts." He confessed truthfully.

"That's a small matter. It doesn't change the fact that you picked up this rarely seen weapon cultivation method with only minimal information and without a mentor. I'm sure the Sect can also help you polish your skills further. This is a great opportunity for you. I hope you don't refuse because I already told them who I wanted to recommend and asked to come here to invite you myself. If you refuse, my face would be in pieces before I'm even properly initiated." She half-jokingly threatens him with her reputation. That would never happen of course, she was the Master, who would dare to seriously laugh at her behind her back? The elders and disciples all just mention these things as something of a joke, looking down on those that didn't accept her invitation instead of actually making fun of her. Not to mention, there was tenfold more people that joined due to her than there are of people that refused.

Ke Qingyan hesitated for a little more before he gave his answer. He looked at her with firm resolve in his eyes. "If what you say is true...I'd be more than happy to accept this opportunity."

Shen Tianyu let out a smile at his positive answer. "Good. I've been told females and males train separately due to their different physique so I might not see you very much but I know you will try your best."

"Of course. I won't waste this great opportunity." Ke Qingyan got up from his chair and walked to the left of Shen Tianyu. He then bowed to her as she was staring. "Thank you so much for this opportunity."

Shen Tianyu didn't panic but put her hands out to hold him up. "No need. I'm merely adding connections, it's a mutual benefit situation. No need for thanks."

"Still. You could have chosen anyone else but gave it to me, I really am grateful."

Shen Tianyu sighed. "Alright, alright. I've accepted your thanks, please get up now and let's talk civilly."

Ke Qingyan agreed Andy finally straightened his back and went back to his seat. They spent the rest of the day chatting about various things, including select information for new recruits only that Shen Tianyu provided. It was mostly about some basic things, not anything confidential, she'd never tell anyone more than necessary about her Sect.
