The Bai family head and the Bai family mistress were startled by Lu Feng’s sudden entry, before they had the chance to reply, Lu Feng worriedly continued, “Is what Miss Xia said about not living past 16 true?”

The Bai mistress looked anxiously at the Bai family head, “The patriarch said you can’t rely on him to solve Yue’ers problem.”

Lu Feng suspiciously asked, “Today was the marriage day, why would they go and have a meeting, this doesn’t seem right.” Housekeeper Liu nodded his head several times, “Yes.” Lu Feng then asked, “Tell me what has happened.”
Housekeeper Liu explained, “It’s like this, the Tian and Xia families suddenly lowered their prices, selling the items much lower than it costs to make them. It is likely these two are colluding to bully our Bai family.” When Lu Feng heard this he frowned, “These two families, they already suffered a loss. Unexpectedly, they decided to come for revenge.”
Housekeeper Liu answered, “It is possible that is not the case.” Lu Feng immediately said, “Bring me there.” Housekeeper Liu made an Oh sound and brought Lu Feng to the study. When they reached the study, the managers were all giving an account on the situation.
The Bai family head’s eyebrows were furrowed, Bai Yao was fuming mad, “These two families want to break the agreement.” The Bai family head sighed, “Today they suffered a loss and now are looking to gain back their face. That is why they are making trouble for us, forcing us to taste defeat.”
Bai Yao continued, “Father, why not just reduce our prices too?” The Bai family head shook his head in disagreement, “Our funds can’t compare to both of theirs combined, if we decide to compete with them we would just outright lose. Then in the end the ones who will suffer is us.” The shop owners all agreed with his assessment.
It was then Lu Feng and Housekeeper Liu entered, seeing Lu Feng the Bai family head curiously said, “You’re back.” Lu Feng looked at the Bai family head and asked, “Head, would you let me listen in on the meeting?”

He should have the right to stay and listen to what we are discussing.”
At that moment, the shop owners for the past year indignantly replied “But Young Master, you’re the son of the Bai Family, so it’s natural for you to be here. Lu Feng, however, is a mere outsider. What right does he have to be here?”
Bai Yao replied sternly “Old Su, I know you’re the eldest of the Bai Family, but Lu Feng is part of the family now. As the other two families lowered their prices, it made it harder for the Bai Family to sell their items. If continued on like this, the food will expire. Once goes bad, it will be thrown away, and no profits will be made, which will result in the Bai Family’s downfall.
