Throughout the dinner, his mother kept trying to put Song Qiao on a pedestal.
DX merely listened as he waited for Kai Xin to reply him.

[Hey, I have something to do tonight. I'll see you tomorrow at work. Stay away from other women and don't forget who's your boss.]
When he saw the last sentence, he chuckled.
"Right, honey? Qiao Qiao is such a delightful young lady."
DX looked up and saw his mother waiting for his reply. To avoid being nagged, he nodded as he took sip of red wine.
He glanced down at the wine, "This is..."
"It's one of your favorites. I told Qiao Qiao before and she remembers it. What a caring girl, right?"
"Mum..." sighed DX. He downed the drink and glanced at his watch before saying, "I have to go home earlier tonight. I told the kids that I would tuck them in."
"Well, we are almost done here. Why don't you send Qiao Qiao home?"
"Where's her driver?"
"I told Old Song to let him off early."
DX frowned, "Mum..."
Old Madam Du warned DX with her eyes that said, "You better send her back."
Having used to his mother's pushiness, he sighed and accepted his fate.
Turning to Song Qiao, he said, "Let's go. I'll send you home."
Once Old Madam Du left the premise, the two got into the car and drove off.
During the journey, DX barely glanced at her. In order to get him to talk, Song Qiao kept asking him questions which he always replied with the shortest answers.
"XiAn, Old Madam Du and my father..."
DX knew what was coming and interrupted her, "Qiao Qiao...I don't care what my mother and your father are planning. I would not marry you. You are like my younger sister."
Glancing down at her fingers, she asked meekly, "Am I that repulsive?"
"No, it's just that I'm in love with someone else."
Song Qiao heard the change of tone. His voice softened when he said he was in love with someone else.
With a sorrowful voice, she asked, "XiAn, why won't you give me a chance? I've been in love with you since I was a little girl."
"Qiao Qiao, I've known you since you were in your diapers. I could never think of you as anything else other than my younger sister."

DX pulled to a stop right in front of her mansion. He turned to her and said, "Qiao Qiao, I'll find you a man that is more worthy of your love. You need to forget about me."
"Never!" cried Song Qiao.
As tears fell, she said, "You have the right to like someone else just like I have the right to like you. I'd never give up on you."
She took him by surprise and kissed him on the lips.
Before DX can do anything, she got out of the car and said, "I'll walk in. It's safe from here onwards."
After she left, DX wiped his mouth angrily.
He felt bad when he saw her tears and was too stunned to move when she kissed him.
He wiped his mouth again before looking at the reflection of his lips on the rearview mirror, "This is disgusting..."
Picking up his phone, he called Old Mo, "Prepare a mouthwash for me. I'm coming home now."
Without waiting for a reply, he hung up and started the car.
