The next day, Kai Xin spent the morning at the law firm.
Mrs. Smith had mentioned that she could take care of everything on matters regarding to the acquisition from there onwards.
Since there was no reason for her to stay at the office, Kai Xin was thinking of telling DX that she would be moving her stuff back into the law firm.
As she made her way to Du Corporation, she bumped into An Xin at the ground floor of the building.
An Xin frowned when she saw her older sister.
With a rude tone, she asked, "What are you doing here? Not everyone can come here."
Kai Xin ignored her rude remark. Glancing at her watch, she retorted, "It's past 2pm. Shouldn't you be working or something?"
An Xin said proudly, "The Du Corporation is flexible about lunch hour."
"Yeah, whatever. I hope that you would work hard and appreciate the opportunity that Du Corporation is giving you," said Kai Xin as a matter of fact.
An Xin flipped her hair and turned around. In a haughty tone, she smirked, "Of course I will. I would not want to be stuck with working at some third grade law firm like you."
Kai Xin rolled her eyes when she heard that. It was true that the law firm that she worked in was pretty low in ranking.
However, she did not join the firm for the prestige. She joined it because the owner of the firm - pathetic as he was - was truly sincere in helping the underdogs.
She watched as An Xin strutted into the building. Rolling her eyes, she thought, "That kid is still such a little B."
Kai Xin went to get a latte from the cafe on the ground floor before going up to her floor. When she arrived, she saw a swarm of employees peeking outside DX's office.
She walked up and saw that there were two people in the room with DX and Han Ye.
As they were facing away from the translucent glass, Kai Xin could not identify them. However, the back of the woman seemed familiar.
"Zhen Kai Xin, what are you doing here?"
Kai Xin turned and saw An Xin glaring at her.
"Zhen Kai Xin, how did you get up here without permission? Leave now!"
"An Xin, stop embarrassing yourself," said Kai Xin with a lazy voice.
Turning around, Kai Xin was about to make her way to her seat when An Xin pulled her.
Since she did not expect that from her, her guard was down.
She would have tripped if someone did not catch her in time. When she turned, she found herself staring into the eyes of a familiar face.
With a grin, the dashing young man said, "You are still as clumsy as ever, Zhen Kai Xin."
As he helped her to stand up straight, she asked curiously, "Ki Hong?"
"The one and only."
"You buffed up," said Kai Xin as she pinched his biceps. With a laugh, she continued, "...You used to be such a scrawny lad."
"Well, it's not too late for you to go on a date with me. If you beg, I might say yes."
Kai Xin was about to say something sarcastic when she saw DX watching them.
Even though his face was calm, she knew from a glance that he was about to explode.
She was scared and she lifted her foot to take a step backward. However, a part of her wanted to know what he would do when he was jealous.
Hence, she stopped herself from moving backwards and linked her arms together with Ki Hong.
"Zhen Kai Xin! Just because Ki Hong is here doesn't mean that you can! Can you be less shameless about this?" An Xin pointed out.
Turning to DX's secretary, she said politely, "Please call the guards and tell them that there is an intruder here."
The secretary frowned as she looked at the woman in confusion. Finally, she asked, "What intruder?"
An Xin pointed out to her sister, "This woman here!"
"An Xin, Kai Xin is working for Du Corporation. She's here on a project and her rank here is higher than you. The guards would throw you out first before they touch her."
When An Xin heard that, her face turned red from embarrassment. It was her first day and she made such a mistake!
Glaring at Kai Xin, she blamed her for it. If only she said something about it, then An Xin would not have made such an embarrassing mistake.
"So, can i go in now?" asked Kai Xin impatiently. Without waiting for a reply, she went into the pantry with Ki Hong.
As she made a coffee for him, she asked, "So, what are you doing here?"
"I'm the new Head of Accounts."
Kai Xin laughed, "You? The kid who can't even do multiplication until he's 9? Are you sure you can handle the accounts of the Du Corporation?"
Ki Hong frowned and pinched her nose hard, "What are you saying, Zhen Kai Xin? Why don't you repeat it?"
Kai Xin swatted at his hand until he released her. Holding her reddened nose, she growled, "Don't think that just because we are friends, I wouldn't kill you."
With a laugh, he picked up the mug filled with hot coffee. As he leaned against the counter, he said, "I'm serious. I'm here as the Head of Accounts, along with Ms. Song Qiao."
Kai Xin's smile was gone when she heard that, "Song Qiao?"
"Yeah, somehow something happened and President Du decided to hire both of us as Head of Accounts."
"I see."
"Anyway, what are YOU doing here? From what I heard, you are a lawyer."
Kai Xin told him about her role here. As they were chatting, Han Ye came and told her that President Du wanted to discuss something with her.
Kai Xin felt a weird thrill at the thought of 'discussion'. She was about to leave with Han Ye when Ki Hong called out to her.
"What?" asked Kai Xin.
"You are different now."
With a smile, she asked, "Is it bad?"
Ki Hong was taken aback by the smile. The last time he saw her smile was a few months before she transferred away.
With a blush, he shook his head and said, "No. No, it's not bad at all."
Kai Xin looked at him in confusion but with Han Ye standing there to remind her of DX, she decided not to delay longer.
After all, the 'business' was more important.

Before she entered DX's room, she passed by the office where Song Qiao would be sharing with Ki Hong and saw the woman talking to the junior accountants.
"Maybe I should stay here for a while longer…" thought Kai Xin as she entered into DX's office.
The moment she was inside, DX snapped at Han Ye, "I need to have a discussion with Ms. Zhen. Close the door on your way out."
Han Ye nodded, "Yes, sir."
Once the door was closed and the translucent mirror turned opaque, DX leaned back into his chair as he looked at her with a brow raised.
Kai Xin shuffled her feet and pretended to know nothing as she said, "Erm...President Du, I was told that there would be a discussion."
"Yes. A discussion is needed. What was that public display of affection between you and my new Head of Accounts."
"It's nothing really."
She went towards him and leaned against his table before continuing, "That was just two old friends talking to each other."
When DX did not say anything, she took one of his hand and asked nonchalantly, "Is President Du jealous?"
Annoyed at her, he pulled her down onto his laps and locked her thighs with his legs.
With one of his finger hooked into the collar of her blouse, he locked her wrists together with his free hand.
In a husky voice, he leaned close to her ear and dared her to reply to his question,
"What did you say earlier...Ms.Zhen?"
