He stood up, took out a stack of files from his bag, and motioned for Han Ye to bring it to Mrs. Smith, "These are the credentials of all 10 core members of IT Ltd. I have put in the amount I'm willing to pay to make them stay. Look at the red one."
When Mrs. Smith opened the red file, she read out the name, "Lu ZiYan."
DX noticed that Kai Xin who was going through one of the documents lifted her head when she heard the name. He wondered if they were acquaintances.
"You will be responsible for the negotiations of their salary. I don't care if they prefer not to stay. Just give them their severance pay and let them go. As for this Lu ZiYan, I want him to stay no matter what and I'm willing to negotiate with him."
Just as Kai Xin thought Callum knew something about her and 'Lu ZiYan', he added, "I have been following his growth since his years in college. No matter what, I want him to be working for us instead of a rival company. I trust that you would do this well."
Mrs. Smith nodded, "I will do my best to handle the matter."
DX had not said anything and merely watched Callum took over the control of the meeting. While he had used Du Corporation to partially fund K Holdings for Callum, he had not done so blindly.
That kid had been business savvy since young and he had wanted him to use his intelligence in the right way. A little provocation, and he was immediately baited.
Of course, Callum was still young then and had not seen the true intention behind DX's provocation.
By now, he knew that DX did it for him so that they would be able to stand next to each other as equals.
Even though he was annoyed that he was played, he cannot deny that he truly enjoyed the work he was doing.
It was definitely a much better life than being a hooligan.

After the meeting ended, Callum kept looking for chances to walk by Kai Xin. It was easy as he was a more approachable person than DX and every time he was in the office, he would chat with the employees.
He noticed that the men always stopped by her cubicle to talk to her but most of the girls would ignore her. When he asked the girls about it, they said that it was because she was always cold when speaking to them.
"She is such a faker." one of the accountants, Ying Ying grumbled, "Everytime we tried to talk to her, she would reply rudely or with a one word reply but when any of the men talks to her, she would be like a bunny."
"I feel disgusted just by looking at her," Yan Yan, the management associate piped in, "My cousin went to the same high school as her, and she said there were rumors that she was pregnant."
"No way!" Callum gasped and made an exaggerated movement. He leaned against Yan Yan's cubicle as he urged her to continue talking.
"It's true, President Shenlong! My cousin came for a visit last week and she recognized her immediately. She said that Kai Xin suddenly transferred out of school in the middle of the year."
With a lowered voice, Yan Yan said to those around her, "There were rumors that she slept around with the seniors and got pregnant."
Ying Ying gasped loudly. As she turned to look at Kai Xin's direction, she muttered, "Your cousin might be right. Otherwise, why would she transferred out so suddenly?"
Callum frowned as he looked towards Kai Xin's cubicle. Her head was down as she was doing research for one of her cases. He had went through all her school records, and medical records, albeit through illegal means. However, he had found nothing on her.
Her results were stellar since young and up until she transferred to Catholic High, she was great at sports as well. The worst record in her medical history was a broken arm caused by her jumping into a well on a dare when she was nine, and one where she was admitted into hospital for playing out in the rain.
Obviously, she was not a child with any common sense... but pregnancy? There was no records whatsoever that was related to pregnancy. No birth record, no records of hospital visitation, no records of any termination.
However, rumors did not just compare not completely unfounded. There was always a kernel of truth behind each rumors, and he intended to find everything out.
So, as busybody as he was, he sent a message to his friend who owned a private investigation firm and told him to secretly research on Kai Xin.

Whenever she crossed and uncrossed her legs, he can see glimpses of her underwear and that gave him a thrill. That girl had been flirting with him since she joined. However, she had flirted with the other upper management as well. He had saw how she looked at President Du.
"That slut!" He thought angrily as he leaned back to his chair. He placed his hand on the growing bulge in his pants as he watched the newcomer.
