DX shifted Little Lyle who was sitting in his lap as he explained, "Lyle, she is not your real Mummy."
He did not want Little Lyle to develop the wrong impression. It would be a huge problem if he thought that Kai Xin was his mother and kept asking for her.
Little Lyle looked at him solemnly and nodded, "She is his mummy but she...she will protect me too..."
"His mummy?" DX frowned and asked, "Who?"
The boy clamped his hands over his mouth and in a muffled voice, he mumbled, "It's a secret..."
DX gently pulled his hands away and asked again, "She is whose mummy?"
Little Lyle shook his head, "Cannot tell. I pinky promise."
DX thought about it. He was a little hesitant when it came to threatening or forcing his eldest son.
He had no problem threatening Little Jack whenever he misbehaved but this one had deeper emotional scars that required gentler care.
After weighing the pros and cons of scaring Little Lyle, he decided to let the matter go. Everything would be wasted if the little one went crawling back into his shell. This kind of stuff...He would find it out on his own sooner or later.
Little Lyle shivered when the conversation made him thought of his real mother. Even though he was really young back then, he remembered vividly that he had clung to her leg and begged her not to send him away but she had ignored his plea.
When Little Lyle cried and looked at her over the shoulder of the man carrying him away, she had glanced coldly at him and without any feeling of remorse or sadness, she said,"I told you to be good..."
Shaking his head, Little Lyle mumbled, "I'm good...I'm good...Lyle is a good boy...," over and over again while rocking himself back and forth.
Glancing down at him, DX noted that something was bothering the little fellow. He patted his head and said gently, "Lyle is a good boy. Daddy will protect you. No one will hurt you anymore."
He glanced up at him, "Daddy protect me?"
Seeing the little boy's big watery eyes, DX nodded, "Always."

When DX glanced up from his work, he saw Kai Xin looking at him.
Back then, he sent Han Ye out to look for any clues on the existence of a son but nothing came up. He eventually dismissed it as a lie Kai Xin told Lyle to pacify him, but he can never shake the feeling that she was hiding something from him.
Faced with her stare, he finally asked, "What?"
She smiled and stole a quick kiss from him before saying, "You are a good father."
DX glanced at Kai Xin's red lips and a low growl could be heard as he leaned forward.
Knowing what was in his mind, Kai Xin immediately pushed his chest away and snapped, "No!"
DX narrowed his eyes and in one move, he locked her hands above her head as he leaned down to kiss her.
Kai Xin laughed as she protested, "DX! The boys can see us!"
However, when his tongue nudged her lips, without any hesitation, she parted to let him enter.
"Erm!"
The sound of a throat being cleared caught Kai Xin's attention and when she saw Old Mo standing there, she immediately pushed DX off the couch.
Old Mo quickly went over to help him up but DX refused to accept his help.
Turning over to Kai Xin, Old Mo told her, "Young Master K, President Du is no longer a young man. Please be gentle with him!"
If they were doing it, he hoped that his precious President Du would be the top. Shaking his head, Old Mo scolded himself inwardly, "Of course he would be the top! He's President Du!"
DX frowned when he saw Kai Xin snickered at Old Mo's comment and turned to him. He sharply admonished the old man, "I'm still a young man. Watch your words."
"Forgive me, President Du...," Old Mo bowed before taking out his phone, "...but Master Callum is asking if you would be joining him anytime this year."
"Oh. I forgot about that idiot's existence."

At the sparring room, Callum glared at those two who had just entered and proceeded to make their way to the bench. He threw up a little when he saw that those two were wearing matching set of attire.
When the two continued talking to each other and pretended that he was air, he pointed his finger at those two and snapped, "I've been waiting for more than an hour!"
DX turned to Kai Xin, "Ignore him. Go stretch out now."
Callum growled at DX for the mistreatment.
As he was helping Kai Xin with the stretching, DX glared at Callum, "Stop standing there like an idiot. I'm not going to care about you if you get cramps later."
Callum mumbled as he started stretching, "As if you have ever care."
Once they were done stretching out, Kai Xin asked with a smile what they were going to do later.
"Spar."
Kai Xin shivered when she heard that word. She turned and tried to run away but DX caught her collar and dragged her to the sparring mat.
She started whimpering, "DX, I'm not feeling well enough. I think I'm a bit unwell from yesterday's events. Can we postpone this?"
As he smiled and patted her head, DX said, "You are not getting out of this. How could you fell into the tricks of that loser?"
She groaned. DX's sparring sessions always ended up as either another type of "sparring" or an extreme workout session that sucked all the energy away from her. Even though he was usually gentle with her, he would not hesitate to hurt her during their training if he thought she was slacking off.
When he saw her face, he shook his head in amusement. Glancing at Callum, he said, "You. Come here."
Callum sighed and dragged himself over to the mat, "What?!"
"The two of you will spar today. I will be the judge."
Callum and Kai Xin exchanged glances and talked in unison, "What?!"
"I can't fight with her! I know that she's a girl!"
"You either fight her or you fight me." DX said sternly. Then he turned to Kai Xin and said the same thing, "It's either him or me."
Both of them groaned. DX was a monster that neither of them had ever win against before.
"No. I don't want to fight him. What if I hurt him?" Kai Xin said worriedly as she glanced at Callum.
Callum scoffed at her remarks, "Hurt me? You can't even touch me."
As those two bickered, DX got an idea that would get them into the mood to spar. He purposely told Kai Xin the truth.
"He saw you naked."
