Mua Kong did not react to Yee Len but just stares emptily at the piles of work on his table. After a moment, Mua Kong took a deep breath before opening the stack of Intel information he received from both the Northern and Southern Countries. He had sent in spy to infiltrate both countries since the missing of Hli Ja. His spies were to find any news related to Hli Ja and also information of the country that could help him later on.
Yee Len looked over by the study room feeling complicated. It is always such a complicated matter telling his Lord to have some food to keep his body nourished. He already dispatched someone to go buy some medicines for his master. The last time when the boy gave them the medicines, it improved his Lord's complexion but that did not last long. The medicines only lasted for a week and they were constantly on the go so it was hard for Yee Len to take care of his Lord's health properly.
Now that they are back in the estate, he is going to do what he can and know to help improve his Lord's health.
With a complex expression, Yee Len uttered, "My Lord, food is best taken when it's still warm. I'll leave it here." He then walked out and standby outside the door.
Mua Kong glanced over at the table and slowly got up from his chair proceeding over to the table. He stood up looking down at the dishes with the aroma so familiar. Mua Kong's heart clenched at the smell of the food, he reached his hand down and grabbed a piece of meat and threw it in his mouth. After a few chews, signs of life appeared in his eyes. The food taste so similar!
Mua Kong gasped as his body trembled. He propped his hand on the table and shook his head slightly on how the food came to be so similar. He has not taste those dishes since the missing of Hli Ja.
Mua Kong looked around before rushing out the door to call for Yee Len.
"Yee Len!" Mua Kong huffed with a shock expression.
Yee Len was startled, he thought the food was poisoned when his Lord shouted his name?
"Wh... who made the food tonight?!" Mua Kong asked.
Seeing his Lord's still standing with a shocked expression, maybe the food tasted bad?
"Um.. I was told that Elder Mae got a new kitchen staff. A young boy passing by who needed money to support his little brother in their travels begged to be employed for a month until he earned enough money."
"Bring him here!" Mua Kong ordered.
Yee Len was confused with the sudden command but he complied. "Yes!" As he turned around, a loud BANG sound was heard in the study room.
Mua Kong and Yee Len looked at each other perplexed, they rushed inside the study room, looked around, and they did not see anything.
Mua Kong's pupils dilated as if he realized something. He rushed behind the wall divider to where his bed was. What he saw on the ground was a little boy, about 3 years old with tears swelled in his eyes trying not to cry and a chair close to the wall. The little boy held his tears with a sad expression looking at the picture hanging on the wall. Mua Kong's vision fixated on the boy. He could guess what the boy was doing just from the sight.
Behind Mua Kong, Yee Len walked forward and bewildered at what he saw. He unconsciously blurted out, "My Lord, that's exactly what you looked like when you were a baby, big round eyes, chubby cheeks, stubby fingers with little dimples on your fingers. You were round all around."
The little boy noticed the two stranger men looking at him. He had been found out! Even though he had been quite the whole time, he lost his composure and fell off the chair he was standing on. The little boy wanted to cry but also wanted to scream for help. His forehead was bruised as he fell forward banging his head on the wall when he tried to reach for the picture on the wall. His knees hurt when he hit the ground landing on his knee first.
With a very guilty expression, the little boy looked down not making eyes contact at the two stranger men and mumbled, "Houa Houa is not bad. Houa Houa want mommy." When he said mommy, he looked up and pointed to the picture hanging on the wall.
